~Ugghhhh  and yuck-O ~ ........ As the game wound down it went from bad to really BAD !!! With the heat making the days almost unbearable, it was unthinkable that Houston could put any more heat on the Braves than they did. I think we need to just have a moment or two of silent meditation... (*still not believing it!!*) ~C

Candace,

I think you need to just have a moment or two of silent meditation to ponder if maybe you take this Braves business a little too seriously, LOL

We just needed a moment or two of offense. We played a good game.
Defense was good. We just needed a few more hits against the Rocket.

I never know when you are in town. When O2 is in town let me buy you guys a drink and I will be out of your way.

Finding good in a what some feel is a disaster is a fine trait you have. Then the "what if" can be a disaster in itself. It is interesting to me that others are that passionate about a sport. Especially a female makes it more interesting. I personally do not see what one may gain from following the sport unless they are betting on it, related to (or relationship with) one of the players, or a part of the ownership. Still it is interesting that so many do get something out of following a sport. I wonder if you would take a lady to a Sports bar for lunch (or a drink perhaps) just to view a game.

I had a feeling that big Roger would stop the Braves, but he didn't get credit for the win. Waiting impatiently for Maddux to get 300.
Did you go to the game!!! If you did, you really are addicted!!!

** With my normal schedule very hectic, I think a baseball game fulfills many of the needed distractions in a hectic routine** Betting appeals to many but I think Bragging & teasing are more of my interest. ~BUT.. I have been known to bet a nickle, (*after I win I then make the specifications as to what Nickle I was betting LOL*) ... I think more than anything it is planning the time to relax and enjoy that makes the game more valuable than anything else. Plus, it is a great addition to a wonderful summer break!!! Thank you for giving me a place to share. AND...  the comment about Roger, yes... with his talent and experience it was a concern, BUT there are still 2 more games!!!  kisses Candace

Is it my imagination or is Candace becoming about the best reason to "tune in" to this board?

Candace and Terri must be the only active ladies in the entire Metro area.

Poor babies.

There are a couple. Terri, does not post nearly as much as Candace, however Terri's friends are pretty vocal. Candace is a fun girl and will challenge you. Also the Nat'l League is coming down to the wire and this lady has to vent or she'll collapse. Hmmmmm!!!(that's a visual).

Has anyone noticed that it's pretty much the same guys who adore both these creatures!!
I assume a new alias when I post a message to, or about these girls. Otherwise I'd appear to be a love-struck teenager. I take that back... the teenager bit that is. One must be mature to appreciate what G has wrought. Do you think that all this adoration may change them?? I hope it does !!! I hope it makes them more voracious. Just my .02.

I can think of other things and places to worship.

I've been there before and as General Douglas MacArthur stated when leaving the Phillipines during WWII, "I SHALL RETURN".

And as Winston Churchill said, "THIS SHALL BE OUR FINEST HOUR".

I know, I was at both places...LOL...
Intended double meaning here.
Hint, never been to the Phillipines or jolly old England.
Nope, not a history teacher either.

That and the fact that many "on call" nights are spent around a computer...LOL, But I adore Atlanta and can not imagine what I would do if it wasn't considered my home. PLUS, we have some of the best things in our Country right here in our little ole' city!!! And our awesome southern gentlemen are at the top o the list.... kisses Candace  PS-> Glad I only had to sit through one evening in Houston! Tonight would have killed me. We took it but.. THAT was too close to be called fun! I'm looking ahead to Arizona.

Terri, I'd gladly light a very special candle in the topsy-turvy soixante-neuf poste. My French is lousy,... NOT the French that we speak in this business. Terri, can you still post from VI ?
