Bangkok and Pattaya are on the very top of my list for a vacation in January as well. It would be something different from my annual Vegas Vacation. For some reason I can't seem to pull the trigger and book a flight!!
I am doing something a little different this January. I am heading to Sihanoukville, Cambodia for a week. I heard the girls are better and cheaper than the girls in Thialand. I will go to Siem Reap to check out the temples then spend a couple of days in Bangkok to check out the scene at Cowboy Soi. I have only been to Pattaya and Phuket. Finally, I will fly to the Philippines and hang out in Angeles City for another week!!!

You may want to check out the hot air balloon behind or actually in front of the Angkor Wat temples. You'll see how many of them have been razed to the ground. It's a fixed or static balloon meaning it only goes up and down.
