Are there any recommendations on where to host in Birmingham?

The Birmingham Marriott on Grandview is a decent place. Right off of I-459. Reasonably priced and decent rooms. Not swanky but decent.

Most providers know that Marriotts aren't hobby friendly if you plan on having more than one visitor. Also, it's probably best to just give a general area of Birmingham on the board and to PM a specific hotel...for safety reasons :-)

...seeing more than one friend in a day (2 tops) BUT yes I get major heebie jeebies when people name hotels publicly.
It's mainly because there's all kinds of lurkers and some of them are not people who have provider or clients best interests in mind. AND if a certain publicly named hotel WAS hobby friendly I start to think it won't be for long (for a bunch of reasons)

Like Caylee said only post general locations in a public forum where ANYBODY can read what is written. If you would like to suggest specifics hotels do so through PM and if you're not VIP use the providers email address. This is for the safety of both the gentleman and ladies.

...I haven't been there myself in a long time, but I did just ask this same question on another board. The consensus I got was that the Hoover, Inverness, and the Summit areas are your best bets, although the Inverness and Summit areas have a bit of traffic. Good luck to you!
