That leaves 3 threads on the board started by someone over 60. It may actually be only two.

Providers flooding the board defeates the purpose of having an over 60 board. It has been turned into another GD board, albiet a quieter version, ( until recently).

This is the board's mission statement:

"Reserved for our 60+ year old friends - this board is here for our esteemed, most "mature" members to discuss hobby related topics".

It should not be detracted from that, or renamed or turned into something else.

When I visited this board not to long ago, a month ago, I really like it.  No drama, low key, great conversation, my type of guys and the girls were older and I felt that I clicked....just great...!!!

Now, what happened to the girls?  Who ran them off?  I don't understand this...!!  Where is Victoria?  With the way our economy/world is and our AGE group, there' shouldn't be any negativity going on.  Life is really too hard, too short and it helps to understand this generation better by mingling with the 60's and over.  Not that I don't already have quite a lot of experience with this age group.  I've been very fortunate, since I don't care for the younger guys, who think they are the bull studs of the world and they thing they can tame the entire world in hour.

I guess, no matter what , no matter where you go, there is always going to be a bad apple in every basket, and/or someone you can dress up, but you can't take them out. Its a shame that there are disrespectful people that get off on doing nothing but fussing about something.  Just goes to show their level of education and someone who a girl/woman may steer clear from.

I have no desire to be in the middle of a flame war.  I like being a positive, happy, fun and respectful person.

...want the ladies to stay. I wouldn't and I don't think anyone would mind Victoria returning. It appears she left by her choice after the thread below. Some did express concerns but no one was asked to stop or to leave. What I liked about the discussion below was no one was bashed for a conflicting opinion, the posts were civil with opinions and ideas, and not one alias. Seems that is something many here are seeking. I don't recall anyone being disrespectful to anyone in that discussion. It is true you won't get people together without some difference of opinion but it's how that is expressed and dealt with that matters. Discussion of change is a part of change. It's healthy.

Thank You for coming around Corey. I hope you and the other ladies continue to do so.

Well 3 posts isn't going to keep anyone so excited that they have to return to see whats new. especially when there's nothing new to see.  A board is useless without something to bring people back.

Well doing math 18 posts by ladies who came to visit and join in. Who is going to come back and re-read 3 posts from a few gentlemen such as yourself. I'm not trying to say what you have to say isn't important but I think this would be like a ghost town or a monthly newsletter. Why would anyone want a board with little or no activity ? Only if they weren't getting attention elsewhere and felt this is there chance to shine. If you had a hard time at the General Board you just started the same stuff that others didn't want here.

I'm not going anywhere and the mod has asked me to keep posting. The rules for this board are the same as any other board.

Like relationships many of us have been in, someone enters the relationship because there is something they like about the person, then they try to change the person to fit their ideal, something they feel is better.  If the person doesn't change, they are off in a huff.  Sometimes they realize they really liked that core they were initially attracted to and return.  

This board didn't change.  Hopefully, Victoria really liked the board for what it is and will return.
