I'm homesick already!
One of my most best girlfriends is moving back to San Diego so I feel I can't get home fast enough!
She cooks some damn good lumpia, which I haven't had in awhile.
Is there a good wine that pairs with Asian and Phillipino cuisine?
like a Riesling or Gewürztraminer. Sometimes a Chenin Blanc (aka Vouvray) or a Chenin Blanc blend will pair well. I really think of Riesling as the go-to for a lot of Asian dishes because the hint of sweetness in the wine pairs well with a little spice. Sometimes you can get away with other pairings; if something is mushroomy/meaty and not too sweet, a light bodied red can do, too, like a Beaujolais, or even a Rhone Red or Pinot Noir. Sparkling wines are another option as they seem to go with anything. Adobo seems to go best with beer, IMO.

semi-dry white guy, unless he smells mushroomy.
Bwahahahahahhahaaa...
Ah a wine connoisseur!
I love me some Riesling or Gewürztraminer as my favorite is a cold sweet sake. ( You see the correlation)
Beer & Adobo....I AGREE!
Cheers to you wonderful woman!
