You are on my "to do" list
I get it. I am new. And I get many guys contacting me wanting to see me, but wanting me to have more reviews before doing so.
With that being said, is it appropriate to ask people to review you? I think my rates are already competitive, so I don't want to do anything cheesy like offer a discount or a trade. But I am open to suggestions.

Just ask them kindly to review you. So far, 100% of the time I have asked for a review I have received one. I am new(er) as well so I understand the struggle Welcome!
xoxo, - A.....if they REALLY want to write one they'll do so whether you ask them to write one or not.
I agree that asking is the most straightforward way. If a guy balks it may simply be because of the time/effort involved. For me, I enjoy posting reviews as I see it as public service. LOL I certainly read reviews and based decisions on those reviews, so it's only fair that I leave reviews for others as well. Other guys, though, may not want to be bothered.
And I'll gladly leave you a review. Just gotta find the time while you are in town..
Hi Nikki....I sent you an email yesterday about my upcoming vacation. I'd be happy to review you!
