I personally don't think you have much to worry about at all. If they are saving data, you're not the only one in their database. LE is going to go after the ones where payment and dates were made first. LE always takes the easy way and your circumstances are way too ambiguous to spend the time and money to pursue. One good way to live up to your new decision is to stop visiting these types of sites.
I contacted agency via web form for screening, exchanged a couple of emails to set date but never confirmed appointment (expressed my regrets in email) and never even visited the city. Agency was just busted by LE. Do you think I will be contacted by LE for having been screened? I never mentioned money for acts in any correspondence. I am not sure how often LE even goes after customers based on agency records. If it adds anything I am also way out of state. Thanks
From what you just described, nothing illegal transpired.
generally (not always) some act in furtherance such as actually renting out a room and certainly sending in a deposit would be needed to get a conviction.
The point is, LE doesn't really intend to prosecute these kinds of cases in a courtroom because to do so demands a huge investment in resources and the penalties tend to be a pittance.
Instead they like to scare off potential johns and sometimes contact them to ask questions as part of a scare tactic. It should go without saying that you should respectfully assert your Fifth Amendment rights to STFU, If ever contacted DO NOT EVER LIE AND DENY. That could be a felony if they ever want to pursue you.
(still not a lawyer)
Let us suppose you emailed someone in another state and discussed with them that you plan to do some jaywalking next month when you go there and visit them, and not only that, you are going to go jaywalking all night long. If there is time left, you will go jaywalking 12 more times the next day. And before you leave, you want to jaywalk with a nice looking woman and her sister at the same time. I guess these statements are technically a conspiracy to commit a crime of jaywalking, but in the grand scheme of things, this is such a nonsense crime that it is not even worthy of following up with. This isn't exactly a murder investigation. The police don't even arrest known criminals in their own town, they certainly aren't going to make a federal case and try and arrest you, who lives in another state. Besides, when the police are off-duty, they probably go and visit that same escort agency themselves. No LE is going to talk to you.
To answer your question, if you were ever asked, I really don't recommend telling anybody that you intended to go on a date for dinner or to attend a social event. If you say that, it is a lie and everybody knows it, and when you start lying to LE, you could make problems for yourself just for that. You are better off to following MrFisher's advice, and say nothing at all. You will never make trouble for yourself by not answering LE's questions in the first place, it is always your right not to talk to the police. It is also always your right to very clearly tell them that you refuse to speak to them further unless your lawyer is present. If you say that, the police must stop questioning you at that time.
Let's put this into perspective. Let's replace the word "prostitution" with the word "jaywalking" to demonstrate how nonsensical this crime really is.

Kennebunk police said Friday they will conduct an analysis of the evidence they have against approximately 40 individuals to determine if they meet the several elements necessary for the charge of engaging a prostitute. They will also have to determine if there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt in order to prosecute the charges, Bean Burpee said.
“While probable cause is the standard of proof met with regard to charging an individual with a crime, investigators and prosecutors want to ensure, from a prosecutorial standpoint, that proof beyond a reasonable doubt is met before proceeding,” Bean Burpee said. “With this in mind, Kennebunk police are striving toward a final charging decision by summer 2013.”
Bean Burpee said more than 60 individuals were named so far as police collected evidence and determined there was enough against each individual to bring forward a charge. Police compared bureau of motor vehicle photos and information with ledgers kept by Wright and Strong as well as corresponding text messages and videos.
What constitutes solicitation? Answer: offering Money or other services in exchange for sex.
you have nothing to worry about. If you are a high value target or playing banking games... one of the cases mentioned involved moving large sums of money (looked like drugs or money laundering)... then that changes things. In the end, it was his money & the only thing they could charge on were prostitution related but he had to resign
I never even saw a girl! Trip was cancelled and I told agency I couldn't make it via email. So I never paid or supplied CC info, only floated possible dates and girls as out calls. Obviously I'm a freaked out newbie without so much as a speeding ticket in my life. What this is teaching me is the hobby is not for me, too much to lose and I can't tolerate the risk.
That may be a good idea. I think you have to consider your inner peace. I think a lot of guys get extremely nervous and frightened in the beginning and it get's easier as you learn the ropes. I know that's how I was, and I still do. I still get spooked and start worrying about things too. Getting snared in by LE and getting prosecuted is probably the least of our concerns,..it's getting exposed and then losing our family lives and possibly our jobs too.
