It's happened before (and part of the reason I've really dialed back my "hobbying" over the years. Yes, I'm certain that it happens far too often on the provider side of things (with a client going no show/no call/no text), and at least in this case the provider _DID_ let me know that she had to cancel.
Problem is, I was only free for one night on this trip to Charleston, had done a ton of research to find the friend for the evening's fun, and with this provider canceling while I was on my way to town, it's left me with few options.
Yes, I hate cancellations (I lose $ at non-refundable hotels) but if you wake up really sick (stay home) or a close family member goes to the hospital (do what you need to do to take care of your family). Stuff happens. I always forgive the first time. If you cancel three dates in a row, I may not accept a booking with you again. This goes both ways. Providers have families too. I hope she gave you a good reason for cancelling. Peace and Love~
