You can deduct hobby expenses up to the amount of your hobby income. Expenses that are more than the income you made from your hobby are nondeductible personal losses.

And that is real.

that I was a elite chicken farmer in order to file my taxes this year.  He wanted to know what a elite chicken farmer was  ?  I said I raised a 1000 little peckers last year.....!!!

What inquiring mind really want to know was what was his reaction? Also did he try to semantically change the title of your occupation so it would be legally acceptable?

Last year I had a delightful encounter (not reviewed) with a woman who was preparing for her CPA exams.  If she has been successful I can see the possibility a developing a big client base with SP's.  What a business opportunity!!!
