I first used it for lower back pain.  Worked pretty well initially.  But as months went by and the pain got worse, didn't work as well.

on various parts of my body, eg shoulders/chest, back, hamstrings. It was prescribed by my chiropractor.  Works pretty well for me to relieve tight spots.  

 
If you’re asking about using electrical stimulation on certain other parts of the body… I haven’t tried that.

Buy a cheap one on Amazon and try it. Don't be fooled into a prescription for the same thing but 10x the cost. Like a lot of things they work for some and not for others.

I did put a TENS across my balls once. I don't recall how high I turned it up, but I wouldn't consider it a torture device, at least at the settings I had.  It was an interesting feeling.

You can but a tens unit at Walgreens works for my shoulder
