My last subject was concerning the use of covers. However, I have left this next subject for this time as I am sure that it will cause some degree of controversy. It is intended to provide helpful insights about safe sex practices, other than the use of covers. Of course, these are only guidelines and each individual will use their best judgment in their actions.

1.  When to Not To Perform Oral (or use a cover).
Each provider and client makes a decision as to whether they will perform or accept BBJ. This is not intended to become a debate on this subject.

However, there are times when this should be refrained from. Providers and clients alike should refrain from oral, however, if either has any open sores in their mouth (including those from biting ones cheek or tongue accidentally) or after any dental procedure, including a cleaning. Why, because dental procedures cause bleeding in the mouth. This includes dental cleanings where the dentist uses his instrument along and below the gum line to remove calculus or plaque building. On average it takes 24 hours for this to heal and oral should not be performed uncovered due to the risk of exposure to blood or to germs from the client along the gum line.

If either party has a cold sores in their mouth, on their lips or tongue.. Oral herpes can be spread genitally and vice versa.

During menses. Gentlemen should refrain from performing oral if the provider is menstruating. This is pretty self-explanatory.

2.  Sharing Sex Toys.
A cover should be used on sex toys and removed and changed if the toy is going to be shared.

3.  Cross Contamination.
A woman is at risk for both vaginal and urinary tract infections. Both are painful and require medical treatment. To prevent this, the gentleman should wash his hands before playing with these sensitive areas on the woman’s body. He should also not touch the anal region with his hands, mouth or with a toy and then touch the woman around the vaginal area.

Also a gentleman should wash his hands before touching a lady during foreplay as, even the germs found on door handles, car doors, etc. can cause infection.

4.  Uncovered Genital to Genital Contact.
This is extremely dangerous. First, gentlemen often "leak" during the height of excitement. This pre-seminal fluid can contain the same bacteria and viruses that are contained in actual semen. Also, the same holds true for women as their entire genital area will become moist with their own bodily fluids when they are excited.

Secondly, there are a number of conditions (including herpes, genital warts), which can be passed on through uncovered genital to genital contact. So having a vasectomy does not make this safe.

By taking proper precautions.. each individual can minimize their risk of exposure to disease and infection... So, play safely!!! and Have Fun!!!!
