If they legalized it and regulated it.......

If they legalized it and regulated the hobby it would be much easier to catch under age and forced cases the legit willing and of age sex workers would leave the shadows. This would shrink the pool of people to sort though making it easier for LE to spot. As long as their is sick losers willing to pay someone will attempt to provide, so it will never completely go away. But I think legalizing sex work would reduce the problem. The pimps used fear of LE to help control both ladies I know. At least that would end.

This is a promo for the film, and
I'm am not suggesting you buy
the DVD.   My question is from the
promo where a guy states that
100,000 kids a year are sex trafficked
in the US every year.

I think that is a bit of a stretch. I realize
its probably per capita, with the most
populous states having a lot more than
the least populous states.

But think about where you live....Do
you think it happens there....I don't think
it does here, but maybe I'm in denial....

It definitely happens, and I am sure it happens in places we would never suspect. and I am definitely all for trying to clean that up, and save the kids. However I don't believe the numbers are as large as they say, and I don't like that in their efforts to save the kids, the abolitionists attack adults who are willingly and voluntarily in the p4p game.

I know a woman that was trafficked in Vegas. I also met a lady in my own back yard that started in Utah at 16. It happens. I do not believe the numbers they are claiming but it is higher than some here think it is. As hobbyist we need to keep our eyes open and look for it so we are not part of the problem. If a girl looks to young walk. If you are sure she is turn the info to the police. Yes it is a risk, but to save a kid from the hell of trafficking it is worth it.

They find some underage involvement somewhere along the line.   This could include strippers, street workers, agencies, and independents.
I don't find those numbers hard to believe at all.

In the interest of safety and security, I'm reading the news articles everyday.  It's part of our "jobs" in my opinion to stay in the know on what's going on in the industry all over the world, and unfortunately it's usually not pretty and a lot of underage BS going on.

If their were no demand for underage though......there is the "REAL" problem.

If they legalized it and regulated the hobby it would be much easier to catch under age and forced cases the legit willing and of age sex workers would leave the shadows. women activists who want to force their politicians to crack down harder on working girls. They, of course, know what's better for the indiviual woman than she does. Yes, there are underage girls being trafficked and it has to be stopped, but they're not fooling anybody with their over-inflated numbers and their reason's for it.

Hank Williams wrote a song titled MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS and since some of the do-gooders are reading this you might try listening to it and worrying about yourself first.

You might also try hitting the gym and losing the flab ass and bad attitude then hubby might not call p4p as much.

most commodities can be sold only one time (drugs, cars, etc) but p*ssy can be resold over and over and over again!!
The economic down fall has caused some to turn to trafficking.
My civie profession is in Social Work....been there seen it.
The magnitude is astounding and very gut wrenching.
No demand=No Supply....This is what the Feds are focusing on and I hope they win!!

Thank you for your very qualified imput Heather.
I agree with you on the issue of underage demand. There are reports of stings constantly involing men chasing after who they thought were underage girls.
These men are usually middle aged and often professionals. Examples coming to mind are school teachers and attorneys.
Sick indidviuals and I wish the vice squads would focus 100% of their time on these creeps instead of consenting adults!
Sadly, I dont see anything in the leagalizing of prostitution that would help this issue however. If you feel otherwise I would love to hear your view.

Just for starters,

I think if it were legal, it would of course be more out in the open making it easier for hotel and LE staff to spot potential underage victims.

The police would no longer need to be concerned with consenting adults any longer and could concentrate their efforts on stopping underage trafficking.

There would be tax dollars generated from the proceeds which would no doubt be routed towards the"stop under age trafficking" efforts.
