Im seeing more and more of that here. I honestly don't understand what purpose is served by using an alias. Especially when many know who you are anyway?

-Present opposing points of view without appearing wishy-washy
-Participate in discussions without people having preconceived ideas about you
-Ask stupid questions without appearing stupid
-Troll or post flames
-Fabricate stories
-Leak information about other people
-Gives you a sense of privacy
-Protect your views and business from your career
