There is only one person on this particular board who has been entrusted by TER to give educated and qualified advice, and that would be the Good Doctor: TheLoveGodess ;)

Everyone else, including you and yours truly talk out of our arses for majority of the time! Yes, we do have the right to opine and give our opinion and to engage in debates, which for the most part is merely qualified by our own unique experiences rather than years of academic research and Doctorate studies.

In closing, I do not have any beef with you and if you are essentially advice driven (some people are predisposed in this fashion), then knock yourself out. With that said, I am out too and my apologies if I have unintentionally high jacked this thread :(

I thought you'd be a chalk-covered professor, kind of like Dr. Ruth.   Thanks for the advice.
I enjoyed your videos.   --z

Unless you are under 30 YO, you are SOL if you are trying to appeal to LG :D

P.S. LG, thank you for your AM.com videos on UT...

thought you were yucky looking, not sure why. We have a version of Dr. Ruth in Canada: Sue Johnson http://www.talksexwithsue.com/index2.html She's great but what a turn off at the same time.

...are a very seductive combination.  LG, you are one fascinating lady...and to #5 I can only say Amen!

It would be interesting if LG did something like 'The Rules' by Fein & Schneider.  Only it would apply to the sex trade--the DOs and DONTs of engaging in the hobby.   I don't mean something like the TER FAQ (e.g., put the money in an envelope) but more in the area of psycho-sexual issues like avoiding delusional attachments and resisting manipulation by unethical providers.  I think it would be popular and it might clarify debate on this forum  ( "You violated Rule #4,  dude.  Now you will pay the price").

The risk of a rigid set of 'Rules' is human variation.  Example: Giving extra $$ to a provider might be allowable for an experienced  gentleman, who knows full well that he'll get nothing in return but a nice session and maybe a bump up on a provider's client list.  The same is not true for an inexperienced hobbyist, who thinks the extra money is a down payment to a more serious relationship.  But "The Rules" as a general set of guidelines might be fun.

Just a thought.  --z

Why are you seemingly on this pseudo crusade about the topic of hobbyists getting into a relationship with a provider? I really do not mean any disrespect, but almost every other post from you has an opinion somewhere in there, regarding this subject!

I imagine that you mean well and forewarning the "less experienced" hobbyist is something that you feel to be a noble notion (although even well experienced hobbyists can fall for a fantasized romance and misinterpret it as reality) and I would agree with you to a certain extent, but really, this pain and hurt that you have suffered makes you come across jaded more often than not.

Think about it, when you were dishing out extra unwarranted $$$ to the provider(s) who exploited you, if someone had repeatedly drilled it into you that your attempts to buy romance were futile and stupid, you would have presumably rejected that advice and would have carried on with your behavior anyway! Sometimes in life, one does not learn a worthwhile lesson, till he/she "gives" till it hurts and no amount of friendly advice or professional cognitive therapy is going to fully impede that sort of action till its shock is fully delivered to the emotional system. In other words, people sadly do not typically seek help when they are told to do so, but when they want to do so ;)

CasinoStocks: I didn't realize I was on a 'pseudo crusade', but since you've been contributing to this board for two months, I'm sure you know all about my sexual history and everyone else's.  You also assert that "every other" of my posts is concerned with "relationships with providers". Welcome to TER, where we often discuss... client relationships with providers.  You caught me red-handed.

More specifically, the topic of inappropriate relationships with providers has been a constant staple on this board for several years.  Most clients make this mistake at one point or another, and honest contributors freely admit it, including me.  My suggestion that LG post some guidelines or rules was a bit tongue-in-cheek, although it might be interesting.  I suspect my opinions on the topic disturb you, and you may have a history that you're unwilling to share.  Over the last several threads on this board, you seem more interested in me than any other topic.  Funny how I can post without mentioning you, but you cannot seem to post on this board anymore without mentioning me.  You might be on a 'pseudo crusade' yourself.  --z

I don't call it The Boulevard of Broken Hearts for nothing. That's what this board is known for - a place where hobbyists can come to ask about falling in love with providers, and in doing so, letting their bitter feelings, rage, grief and disappointments all come out. Of course that's not all we discuss; however, the hobby is fraught with a lack of "absolutes" at most and no ethical standards at the least - people have to invent the rules as they go along...and that can get very complicated and sensitive!

This is perhaps the most "gentille" board on the site, in that I don't allow any excessively mean-spirited posts or long-thread bickering. Here, we maintain civil discourse and we agree to disagree very politely, for the sake of those who really do have psycho-sexual or emotional problems tied not just to the hobby, but to spouses, partners and others with whom relationships have become difficult or somehow impacted, whether by hobbying or other activities/life situations.

In short, we do welcome a range of opinions that come out as comments to the Q & A process on the board. They may be divergent opinons, but mostly, there is perhaps a grain of truth in the majority of views expressed on the board. I may be the "designated formal expert," but I learn from other posters too. So keep asking the questions and keep volunteering your comments - that's the only way we can ALL learn from this unique venue, which apparently is the only one of its kind among the many worldwide review sites that deal with commercial sex on the Web.

Have a good week,
The Love Goddess

But, I immensely enjoy having you tell it to me over and over again! :)
