A woman, with a history of prostitution, was found stabbed to death next to a bloody knife in a River North boutique hotel early Tuesday, authorities said. Police are reviewing security camera footage and interviewing persons of interest after her body was found shortly after midnight with multiple stab wounds at the Felix Hotel at 111 W. Huron. An autopsy Tuesday found that she suffered multiple stab and incise wounds and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Xxxxx, 31, was a former model and mother of five whose life had unravelled in recent years, her estranged husband said via phone from his Minneapolis home. She had travelled to Chicago with two Minnesota women, likely to work as prostitutes, he said as he fought back tears. … Court records show she was arrested for prostitution in St. Louis in 2004.

But rather, a client who had seen her earlier...

"Prosecutors said xxxxx had hired xxxxx  after he found an ad on a website that had been placed by someone she was working with. They met at the hotel, Felix Hotel, 111 W. Huron St., in a room rented by a friend of xxxxxx's and the person who had placed the ad, and had sex, according to police reports and assistant state's attorney Melissa Howlett."
