I recently had a guy threaten to write a bad review and force me out of the hobby by telling everyone how flaky I am.  He was very upset with me.  We were communicating for 3 days via e mail and he wanted me to use his screening methods instead of mine because another, more established provider with a better reputation used his method.  I still told him no.  After about 3 days of this nonsense I came to the conclusion he isn't going to get screened and moved on.  On the 3rd day I get a text message giving me 2 provider references.  OK. I have no clue who this guy is so I ask him.  He went off on me in multiple text messages about unprofessional I am and I should know who he is by now.  No where in his e mails did he give me his phone number.  I had no way of knowing the guy that texted me was the same guy I was e mailing with.

Guys, when your communicating with a provider and use different methods of communication, it's important that you let us know.  Don't just assume we know who you are. The same goes for when you leave a voice mail.  Asking me to call you back but leaving no contact info makes it hard. I have a burner phone for the hobby so it's impossible to weed through all my incoming numbers and guess which one is yours.

I did go ahead and try to verify his "providers". Both were BP girls, one bad review and no other info found on them.  I wouldn't accept referenced from them anyway  :

I have had the honor and pleasure to hobby with you several times, you are many things.....all of them wonderful.  Being flaky is not one of them.

Becca, you are one classy lady and I'm sorry you had to go through this. However, you did not change your methods to appease him. That says a lot about you as a person!

In my opinion one bad review out of many should not make a difference.  Usually when I see a bad review among many good ones, I lean toward it was a issue with the reviewer, not the provider.  Some people are dumb, we all understand this.  I am actually surprised you dealt with this man as long as you did.  Getting together should not be a complicated process.  It should also be your rules or see ya.  I have never seen you yet, but hope to see you in Wausau sometime soon....

I agree Becca.  I'm sure he was thinking he was the only guy you've been communicating with for a few days. lol  Not everybody is polite, respectful, and follow your rules so when they're not, simply move on

We have our own system of screening just respect it... You wouldn't want someone to come into your business to tell you what to do...  Same goes for providers...
