So it is first thing Monday morning and you have decided that you will treat yourself to an hour or two of bliss this week. Maybe even today and maybe you have been thinking about it all weekend. Even worse, maybe it started last week and you couldn't get that appointment you wanted.

So now is the moment, you're committed to the idea and now you are getting turned on. You need it. You know it will put that swagger back in your step and, even better, this will be the one appointment that finally satisfies you and all of your desires. To what lengths will you go today or later this week to fulfill that growing desire?

The weather can be a real pain in the ass. Several times in the past when I booked appointments a week ahead of time, it snowed. One time, it snowed a lot. The other times, it was light snow. I still went to see those girls. When it rains, everyone drives slow. So, when it rains, I always have to go 2 hours ahead of time.

The second thing is traffic. Because of where I live and depending on what time it is, the traffic can be very congested. So, instead of taking 30 minutes to get there, I have to drive two hours ahead of time and sit in traffic. Normally it will take me 30 minutes (without traffic) to get to a location, but with traffic, it can be about two hours.

Those are the only two things I will do and have done to commit to the appointment.  BTW, your up kinda late :) I'm up this late because I'm on vacation :)

As long as it is legal and ethical, especially if I'm planning to see you.   :)

In terms of things like weather and traffic, I try to plan accordingly and leave sufficiently early.  If there is a last-minute disaster on the Beltway and I'm in the middle of it, I try my best with alternate routing and call/text/email that I may be delayed.

I've also learned to try to avoid situations that may adversely affect my ability to get to my appointment, timeliness, or performance, for example, staying away from people with bad colds, not overdoing a workout, or avoiding problematic menu items.

Planning also includes deciding what I want to bring to the date--wine, a small gift, the donation, condoms, etc.--and making sure they are all ready.  From experience, the cell phone is now on that list.   :(

Preparing for the date also involves ensuring that I am squeaky clean and well groomed.  Sometimes this may compete with timeliness, but it cannot be compromised. Taking a shower upon arrival may be the back-up plan, though I prefer to spend my time with you.  Deciding what to wear and making sure that everything is available, cleaned, and pressed requires forethought as well.

In short, for me, seeing you becomes the priority.  Some things are beyond my control.  I try to control those that I can to maximize the probability of actually getting there, being on time, and having a totally satisfying date.  When a roadblock (literally or figuratively) pops up, it's good to have a back-up plan.  Perhaps the more relevant question pertains to how I focus on the other things unrelated to our date that I need to do in the intervening time.   :)

to make our date. I usually schedule our date a week out, and that just builds the anticipation. I read and reread your website, your P411 profile, your reviews to make sure I know what you like and how I want to make our date a special time for both of us. Preparation for our date starts a day or two before, then gets serious the day of. So, there is considerable investment in time and energy if I am not able to make a date because of me.

If something does happens to force me to not make our date (flight delays, extreme weather, family crises) that just can't be overcome, then I contact the lady ASAP and work to reschedule. I know she also has a life and I try to alert her to any potential changes as soon as they occur, such as potential flight delays.

Life happens, and some circumstances are just beyond our control. The real question is how you handle  things when life throws you a curveball. So far, every time I've had to make a schedule change, the lady and I have been able to reschedule to meet soon after our originally scheduled appointment without any problem
