If your willing to visit dreadful Richmond ( no offense Richsodians , but downtown Richmond isn't exactly known for its nightlife ) maybe you'd consider a couple more hours south and check out Raleigh.

Incredible progressive southern city known for its chef owned restaurants , art & theater , craft beer , reasonable hotel rates and witty , reliable , open minder gents who always manicure before little rendezvous !  OK , I read your post describing me on the General board :)

Never less , come on down . You'll love the grits , sweet tea and hopefully meeeeee.
