I've read that MC is not a good place to hobby. This sounds like bethesda, silverspring, etc.

Any other "hot" areas to avoid?

All hotels in MC, PG, AA counties of MD.[includes BWI]
Tysons hotels-only slightly safer, but it can take hours of your day away in traffic.
Agencies or ladies who require personal information.

There are a lot of reasons other than LE busts to avoid certain areas.

in general avoid Maryland, though the new National Harbor area proper seems OK.

Until you know your way around, DuPont Circle, Thomas Cicle, Georgetown/Foggy Bottom areas in DC are good.  Tyson's, Old Town Alexandria, and Crystal City in VA  are good.

Generally agree with this list.  However, I have been told (and experienced) that LE set up a lot of their stings in the Dupont area.

Do you have any more specific or updated information?  Are they mostly targeting the guys or the gals, too? Any specific hotels? How about residences/apartments for incalls? What type of tricks/traps are they using? Are they perhaps especially targeting the girls who advertise too much rather than being UTR?
Thanks for any extra info you may have; my friend and former ATF is working that area this month.
