DC has the most speed traffic cameras in any city. They even had red light cameras. These fines are much higher than in most cities. It's $150 if the speed limit is over 10 MPH I think and $300 if its over 20 MPH. They even have temporary speed cameras in school zones that average $40 a ticket. I remember one month, I spent 2K just on speeding tickets alone. It was a wake up call.

Anyhow, the traffic in DC is always congested. It takes about 10 minutes just to get from one block to another. I am unsure if the tropical storm will make any difference to the traffic congestion. We still have plenty of providers that advertise in DC. Sometimes you have to make a little sacrifice to get what you want. Best of luck!

you know its not that bad...

if you are driving in a comfy car and listening to something good. i love driving around here. i literally try to break as many laws as i can in one trip. but all kidding aside, its not that bad. these days the after hours construction on the beltway in tysons/fairfax area and in moco maryland might put a damper on things, but like all things they pass with time. if you really wanna stay in the know with traffic around wdc, listen in on 103.5 (it might get confusing if you don't know your way around) if not use your googlemaps with traffic view... itll show you where things are congested.
come on now.. we live in one of the best cities in the country with some of the best technology out there available to us. use it!
