I tend to avoid public transportation because there are some weirdos on there. These day, I just cannot find the time anymore to do anything. And, everything is just rush rush rush.

Damn, I wish those agencies came back, I missed one of them. It use to be so convenient for me. I just need to drive slow and not give a fuck what others think anymore. Let me take my time. One of my biggest pet peeve is, some mother fucker always tailgate me, then I gotta speed up. We all have that happened to us before. I'm just sticking to my old car, that car never gets me into trouble.

Everyone speeds and get busted. It's not exclusive to teenagers, adults speed too. I just have to learn the hard way, and I just had enough with speeding tickets.

Even when I don't want to speed, there are some cameras in DC that are designed unfairly for speeding tickets. There are some groups that are trying to take those cameras away because some of those roads are designed for speeding, and it is unfair for all of us. Anyways, best thing I can do now is drive like grandma.

Someone produced a thread recently that showed all of the speeding cameras in DC. If you google it, you will find it. There are just way too many cameras around DC. You can't drive comfortable, they got red light cameras and stationary speed cameras. They even have temporary cameras in vans and in poles. That's how DC makes it's money. They make millions a year on speeding tickets, and some places are unjustifiable.

Drive slow, even when your on the highway in DC. As soon as you think no one is watching, there's a flash in your rear view mirror. Don't end up like me, paying money for crazy reasons. Some people can actually go bankrupt, starve, cannot pay their bills, and other financial dilemmas if they had to pay the fine I had to pay.

Something about that is wrong IMO. A person shouldn't have to starve from paying a speeding ticket.

I have used the metro numerous times. If you go during the daytime, its just mostly commuters
now at night, the dynamics change. I try not to ride the metro at night if I can help it. Plus if I am carrying large amounts of cash, I tend to feel like a target!

As for your comment about other cultures as it relates to public transit, I do have experience. However, the people there and their cultures are more "nicer" if you know what I mean. They have more manners down there, not like it is here in DC. Believe, there are some crazy fuckers on the train, and I cannot expose myself to that kind of environment.

It's not like I purposely break the law. Most of the times, I do not even realize that I am speeding. I guess it is time to start realizing that because I had it up to here with the speeding tickets.

While that won't stop the assholes who purposely ignore you, it should be a simple human act for many people that might get them to pay attention and realize that you aren't just a "hazard" on their personal D.C. obstacle course of a drive.
