Welcome......I've been mongering for years in DC (going on a Decade), wow, time flies!!!!  In any event the overall scene here I would rate in the top 5 of the country.  Some general observations about our area:

1. You mentioned the left coast, from my experience, in comparison, you'll find the east coast more accomodating than the West as there are less scammers and Bullshitters.  While the DMV has it's share, no where near the level the West coast has.  As a matter of fact, when the scammer volume increases it's typically when the volume of visiting West coasters increases.

2. Agencies rotate almost annually to b-annually.  From my experience this is an important feature of the area to keep in mind.  I get use to the ability to schedule short notice appointments with reliable agencies then they get busted as politicians look to beef up their resume during election seasons.  Once the bust happens then you have to search for reliable Indies and/or visiting ladies.  So keep in your rotation some Indies and travelers who come through the DC often.

3. If you have a thing for Asians, like I do, then you will find plenty of agencies and opportunities to contract as such.  However, as with all else Mongering be careful of Bait and Switch and all things scams.  As you know, TER will be a good validation source.

4. You note that you are into Latinas.  You need to be careful in the DMV as you will see plenty of Ads for sexy Latinas.  The PICs will tell one story, the live version will be decidedly different.  Of all the Latina ads you see, especially for indies, I would say that 60% of the ads may result in the Bait and Swtich variety.

You traveled often, and have a taste for what is expected. DC has good variety if you take a look at the DC ads. Some things to be weary of are the numerous ripoffs DC has. I would read a few post down to familiarize your expectations. Here, we have some agencies that post on Eros and Backpage that provide dinner and conversations only, and their ads are misleading. Threads about them have been posted. When in doubt, post a 411.

About the selection, and it seems that you like a wide selection. We have it here, some good thick ass that I usually like, some good spinners, some good ebony in the mix, and some good blondes. It's like one of those ice cream stores, there are some good flavors to pick from. Also, we have the convenience of them operating past midnight, usually well to the wee hours of 4:00AM. I've done plenty of those too.

So, you made a good pick. There is some good quality ass around here, some are expensive, and some are more realistic. Get a feel of what the girls are like by looking at BackPage, Eros, TER DC ads, CityVibe, preferred 411, and datecheck. As with other cities, we have some good locals here that can suck a good one.
