In the TER rating system, a 7 in performance is a "Hot Time."  I just read a review for a Provider who was rated a 7 in performance.  It says:  

"She was not really in a mood to kiss. Just light kissing with lips closed. I moved to daty but she was very sensitive I asked her to suck me and she gave me an average bbbj. We covered up an fucked in cg doggy and mish. I finally came inish and we cleaned up and cuddled for the rest oftjr session. She is very nice to talk to but I would not repeat"

That is NOT what I would consider a "Hot Time". I'm sure this particulr lady was nice and the gentleman was being gracious in giving her a 7 instead of a more aptly deserved 5 or 6.  But that doesn't serve the rest of us Hobbyists well. It doesn't serve the Provider well either - Providers should learn when they don't make their customers happy, and if you don't have the balls to tell them to their face, then at least post an honest review so they can learn about it later and amend their ways accordingly.

I just posted something similar on the general board. What you describe is clearly a 5 in my book. I fear that there are many ladies who think that this kind of session that you describe is typical and what we expect. I expect a whole lot more.

People are afraid of getting banned from the agency.

If you notice when a new girl comes and NOBODY posts a mini on this board, it's most likely because they are afraid to do so.

Hence the favorite hobby term YMMV.  To me, its the comments in the write-up that make the difference of whether or not I ask a lady for a date.....and certainly not the scores.

The review scores are merely secondary.....what's the trend and who rated who?  The comments though give me a much better sense of whether the lady enjoys the same things as I do and hence what the chances are for an enjoyable connection and encounter between us.

That is what I have come to understand a 7 to be quite often. She was going through the motions and not even pretending to act. Some guys give 8s to those gals, which is really absurd. Hound_dog gave a more realistic score. Good for him.

Hmmm, I've read many reviews that were rated one thing and then read the review and it stated something quite different.  I've also met a number of providers in person and then looked at their scores on looks and wondered, WTF.  I have many theories on this, none I wish to share but I'm sure all of you probably have some ideas as well.  Some men are way too generous while others are quite critical.  Bottom line, "Beauty and performance are in the eye of the beholder."  I guess you have to take an average of the overall reviews and see what you come up with, I also think the way a lady presents herself in her ads says quite a lot.

But let's face it if a girl gets less than an 8 why bother?

I guess we are accustomed to the grading system. 70 is a C -- or a low C -- which is an average score. To me, it's not a good grade.

I think we should change the performance scoring system to A+, A, A-, B+, etc down to F. We can keep the 1-10 system for looks.

One time I was unhappy with the attitude of the provider. I gave her a 9 in looks. For performance, I wanted to give her a 4 except that she did not "just laid there" -- we did fuck. But I felt "I should have stayed home" (2) which I thought was too low. So I gave her a 3, "it was barely worth the effort", although I didn't think it was worth the effort.

The agency got angry and banned me; a few hours later they called to apologize and re-instated me.

There was another case 5 years ago where I gave a provider a 7/2. I got banned from the agency for that one.

Just as modern day colleges have become infected with this virus, so have our provider review boards.  Many of the reasons are referenced above, as well, I suspect, as common human decency.  As much as we all agree this is a business, having sex with another person is an intensely personal endeavor and few of us want to be a complete ass unless we were ripped off.  

That said, I don't really see this as a huge problem.  I'm not sure if there are ten different levels of performance for a provider, so I have always seen the 1 to 10 scale as somewhat arbitrary.  TER could install a 1 to 3 scale and it would work for me.

Any reviewer who has spent time on this and other boards will quickly learn that a 7 -- for looks or performance -- equals disappointment in the eyes of the reviewer.  And if I see a 6 or lower for a provider in more than one review, I almost always rule her out.

Like I said in my post below, I tried following the "descriptive system" but it didn't work for me.

When I see a provider, I expect to have a hot -- if not a nice -- time. Anything less than that is not satisfactory.

If she essentially lays there it's a 5. Julia did the 2 minute per station circuit training routine. Allow 2 min DATY, 2 min BJ, 2 min mish, 2 min doggie...

The best part was my manual finish on her amazing boobs (OK, they were better than amazing).  Honestly, what's that really worth?

A more recent encounter with a much less experience agency gal (just reviewed) and at least there was some personal interaction, even if I had to direct the whole show.

Some of this is very subjective, but I think I generally vary by no more than 1 point, and I always write way too much so that you'll know what you're in for, in case what I like isn't what you like.

It skews how people judge the performance versus the rating. Something like "extra mile" is descriptive. Forgot it was a service? Hardly.

Personally, I think for a 7 she has to start showing up for the party.

First, how do we decide the looks rating? Face, body or both combined. What if her body is off the charts but her face is kind of homely? I can describe that, but the current system does not make it easy to rate that.

Next, body shapes. What's average. With our overweight population do we use literal average, or what a "real" woman would look like. I personally think your bod is pretty hot, but I would also say it is average. Not too thin and not overweight. Basically a healthy (maybe a touch of baby fat - as in your profile), but deliciously curvy, figure.

Here is the subjective part. No matter how smokin' you body is, if some dude loves anorexic spinners that look like pre-teen girls, you're out of luck.

I'd like to see some sort of silhouette shapes to choose from to represent the various body shapes/styles.

The other problem is if someone is expecting something different from what they get, it may affect their rating no matter how hot she is.

As I see it, asking guys with hard-ons to rate the appearance of a woman is a losing proposition. Add in the fact that this is recreation for him (and his cash), and food on the table for her, and you have a recipe for disaster. Especially since we all know when guys search most probably do not even allow under a 7 in their searches.

A woman can look hotter than an average model without being model material. I used to have to stop and think when I had to decide between an 8 and a nine. Not anymore; now I ignore the verbiage.

I've never paid attention to those descriptions, such as "Hot Time." Technically speaking, if she provided bbj, she could have received an 8.

Numbers are somewhat arbitrary, but what you say is dead-on for me. Just like getting a "C" in undergrad is ok, but death in grad school.

and from what I see I would probably ignore those reviews. I would read them, for sure, but just from a cursory glance at her history, and her posts, I doubt I would ever exclude SC based on a few low ratings.

It happens (occasional low ratings), and the ladies should not freak over them (some do). Some of them are legitimate ratings, and I am sure just as many are not.

This is why there is the text of the review.

I'm sure many TER members, especially the more experienced ones, do it this way.

I look at the scores of a provider. Then look at the reviews of her reviewers, especially those who give for higher and lower than usual scores. I get a sense if the reviewers tend to give high or low scores.

But then, some reviewers are proficient in finding good providers, so they tend to give higher scores. Likewise those who gives low scores might not. So I look at their reviewees' profile and get an idea if they deserve their scores. By then, I would have a pretty good idea of what the original provider is like.

Getting a sense of the scoring practice of well-known reviewers helps.

In my reviews I've had a few describe their experience as way better than what they rated me (a few 6's) and it sounds like they had a better time than what was rated so I dunno maybe get confused I dunno. Where the review doesn't match the rating of the performance...it happens./

As time goes by the bar for a higher number both in looks and in performance has been lowered.

Not by each and every guy but overall no doubt.

I went looking for some of my old reviews when I returned but they seem to have been removed although one or two of the ladies are still in business. I recall getting a few eyebrows back then but now I have a feeling the e-mails and PM's would be flying.

There are a lot of reasons why this has happened but the largest one is probably peer pressure and by peer pressure I mean when you see a lady and she has all eights it is very hard to give her something less.
