Was going to agree with OP in that on that rare occasion that I am looking at a new girl who is not on TER, I always search by phone number and not name so the name doesn't matter (what's in a name?  I will leave the esoteric questions to Lee).  But Curly makes the "multiple girls often use the same number argument", so ya, listen to Curly.

Does anyone else find it frustrating that reviews where the provider name isn't listed on the ad site get rejected? Providers change names all the time and particularly for places like AMPs where girls don't get their own ads, it precludes providing potentially valuable information. Seems contrary to the mission of the site, unless I'm missing something obvious here...

There has to be some match between the girl reviewed (pics) and the review itself. How would you create that link without the name? The name is primary identifying factor. It provides good guide to communicate about the provider.  Its a good thing that nameless providers don't get reviewed.

Phone numbers and email addresses also get changed, and get changed more frequently. Also multiple girls can be associated with same phone numbers (e.g. Agency girls, friends working together..

If provider changes her name and her old pics can be matched to her new pics, TER will merge the reviews...

Isn't that what the TER ID is for though? To be a static piece of information that theoretically follows a provider who can otherwise change name/number/URL easily? I search by phone number as well, but only because phone numbers, unlike names, are unique.

It isn't a huge deal, just frustrating when you have info people may find potentially useful and can't because of a somewhat arbitrary restriction.

My opinion remains "yes and no".

"Yes", the system could still work without the name as a required field.  And more providers would be reviewed this way which is, ya know, kinda the point of TER.

But no - I don't think the system would run as efficiently that way.  If every ad by every women on TER included their TER ID then OK - nothing is lost.  But that simply isn't the case.

Another way to look at this is as so:  Who are the providers who do not include a name in their ad?  Most often they are the bottom rung of your BP providers, the ones you chance running into LE when you book.  Who books these ladies?  Most often gentlemen who do not know about TER, or who simply have a death wish.  You are in neither category, so it shouldn't have much of an impact on you or any other gent on TER specifically.   To wit, if we are actually looking for a $100, half hour session with a less expensive provider, we can SAFELY find one on TER rather than playing the LE/pimp violence/rip-off - risk-game on BP with girls who do not offer their name.

I think I made that about as coherent as I can for this point in my week, so that be my 02.
