You do have the option of renewing for as many years as you like at the current rate as long as you do it before the new year. I intend to.
Can't say why the rates are going up but I can say I love this application and use it exclusively to find dates in my area. I then use the TER review links to do the research. That said, I will let my VIP TER membership drop before I would the P411. I have been a programmer/analyst data-base designer for 35 years. An awful lot of research and development went into the P411 system. I have not found anything (to-date) as efficient at connecting providers and clients.
that's the problem. Once upon a time, Date-Check was their major competition. There's no one competing with P411 today so they can raise their rates as they desire.
it helps in participating and being as anonymous as possible. I have used P411 for years and it has been the best way for providers to see if I am legit and not a LEO. I have requested dates from women when I travel for business and when they tour my city.
I would pay $500 because it gives me and the provider a peace of mind that we will have a safe fun time together. If you are bitching about a $150 or $200, then you need to pick another hobby that you can afford...like bowling, horseshoe tossing, table tennis, knitting etc...
