In reading all the various happenings around town, there's obviously a lot of activity going on.  Something interesting occured recently that I'm not sure if it's related to what's been happening.  I received an unsolicited TER PM in my Mail box about a provider.  The provider herself looked interesting, but I wasn't familiar with the sender (I've never corresponded with him before).  I did a look-up on him and saw that he did indeed have a number of reviews...however, since one of the posts that I've read appears to indicate that a well-known reviewer has been compromised, I have to admit that I am a little paranoid and didn't know if this was a trap of some sort.  Has this happened to others?

Sorry if I'm adding to the paranoia.  :-(

I think all of us have become more aware of the unsolicited contact of any kind.  I've reached the point that if someone contacts me about someone that i have a good relationship with  I'll ask the lady if she wants me to respond.  Might be overkill, but....

Why would one reviewer email another reviewer on an unsolicited basis about a lady?  Strikes me as very fishy ...

Posting an E-Mail is putting it up for All the World to see, or so I have been told.  I tend to treat e-mail in that way.  In most cases, I just do not care.  Single, live alone, easy to point a finger at and say " he is a perv".   But, I avoid all that stuff as best I can by doing my research on my prospective companions.  In your case,  I would step forward VERY carefully!   flyrod

But I have emailed a few guys after reading their reviews of a girl Im interested in. Ill ask a simple question about her ass, her boob job, etc. Its purely to answer questions that remained after reading their review.

I did not realize that was such taboo, or am I just confused?

Some guys do have different reactions to such questions.  But the OP says that somebody PM'ed him recommending a particular girl.

I have received similar messages from visiting ladies and agencies, but never from somebody just claiming to be a hobbyist recommending somebody.  That would be weird.

Yes, the situation was that another reviewer - with whom I have never had any previous contact with - sent me a PM recommending a particular girl (from a BP listing) out of the blue.  I did not solicit a recommendation, nor have I sent him any information on other providers in the past.

Interesting and interesting-er.

specific questions - including a direct "did you pay her for sex" are another thing entirely.

We all know this is a fantasy about paying for time only... :-)

I've had conversations with other hobbyists that began as questions about reviews or exchanges on here in which we recommended girls to each other.  But a message out of the blue telling me I ought to check out a girl's BP ad sounds like a minor league pimp in action...or a dude with boundary issues.

The closest thing to that I've experienced was a year or two ago when a guy posted on here that an amazing girl he'd seen in another city was about to come to DC.  He said we'd be foolish to miss her and gave us all her scheduler's contact info.  I joined a small chorus in telling the dude that gents can't post ads for ladies and we'd appreciate it if he not shill on our local board.  I think the then-mod suggested that he could more subtly post a kind of mini with a link to one of her ads.

So then the guy sent me a PM a week later to say that her plane was about to land, asking me to remind everybody in DC of this can't-miss opportunity.

I just ignored it.
