Yeah, it was the November 2005 Issue in an article called "When Nightlife Goes X-Rated." It talked about Massage Parlors, Strip Clubs,Gang Violence, and Escorting (and they did show eros).
Still the article probably didn't effect LE, but it didn't help.
I believe that is the name of the magazine, but about 2 months ago there was a big article in it about escorts. The article mentioned eros-dc by name, I think that article has brought about all of these LE busts.

As long as the hobby's profile is low, I would think that LE would spend their time and manpower resources on real crimes and real criminals. However, an article like the one drenewsome refers to would be enough to cause Mayor Williams or some City Council person to call up the Police Chief and say "we can't have our constituents thinking we are tolerating this kind of thing. You'd better get out there and make some arrests". I think that is entirely within the realm of possibility and I'm certain you're right. Guess we'll just have to wait for this to blow (no pun intended) over. Until then, fellow hobbyists, stick with the ladies you know and party intelligently.
