trying to get the ISO, 411 post and ripoffs all in one daily thread and then a 2nd separate thread for the mini reviews.
Other than ads those seem to take up most of the board.

Opps....Sopke too soon.I'm not a guy! ;)

Does the software allow posts to be pinned to the top and not move down?  That could help solve the problem and it could be a weekly thing instead of daily.

I wish we could pin threads.

Do you mean like sending the entire thread to the top of the board whenever there is a new reply? And having the new replies being highlighted or flagged with 'new' on the side?

There are tons of note worthy topics that get lost because no has time to go to previous posts a week ago, month ago year ago and see if there were additional replies. Might help newbies out too.

I still flip between the 'current' layout and the 'classic' layout because of the slight differences in the way some info is shown / organized. Others might switch it up if they're on a PC vs phone (I recall the 'current' site crashed peoples phones so they go through the 'classic' site).

Over regulation of the board frustrates me....I hate having to constantly scroll back and check whats off the page to keep up with the exchange of info.  Restricting the free flow appeals to some I suppose...but I stick around for info....not hall pass mentality.  but...that's just me.

never considered it over regulation. It's all voluntary in an effort to organize things so they are easier to find. Plus it does keep treads from getting pushed to the next pages so quickly.  This board can be active at times and threads quickly move on to the 2nd and 3rd page. Whether I reading a forum or searching for any information, if I can look in one central area to find what it is I'm wanting it makes my search quicker and easier.
I'm not talking about pinning the threads at the top of the page but just accumulating them in one tread each day. As other post come up they will cycle down just like a normal post.
To be perfectly honest it makes my job harder. It's easier to just look at the post to determine if it meets guidelines and then approve or deny.

For me the jury is still out. It's you board not mine. I'm just along for the ride.

Inevitably that is what you have to do when the free flow of information pushes previous 411's, mini's, and ripoff post to the next page.

The board doesn't seem to be that active that these threads would still be on the front page through the day if not into the next day and lessen the scrolling back and forth as you say.

The only restriction I see is looking down the page. Also I don't see Fugly's asking what people think about it as a hall pass mentality being forced to comply or having to stay after school if we don't hahaha

I also don't see it as a benefit to the ladies ad post but keeping things simple and easier to find over scrolling through the 25 post per page.

I remember when there were so many ripoff, eros, or fake photo post everyday that seemed to be the theme of the board and owned by a few.

I think it's a good idea and think it deserves a chance to see how it works.

Actually I do not understand why updated threads do not appear at the top of the list. In an Internet forum, threads with the most recent activity are placed at the head of the list so people can read them without go back pages to see if they have been updated.

I realize that TER has a population of users that are very used to things being done a certain way, but in my opinion this one only makes sense.

And I also agree that a very few threads should be "pinned"  by a moderator if they are important enough.

Please should also realize that it takes time to get any changes that are requested and thought to be a good idea by management, scheduled, implemented, tested and rolled out.

Just my personal opinions.

I understand the ladies frustration about their ads disappearing when SOMEBODY would post 20 fake Eros posts a day.

For example, the ladies are supposed to click the "Provider Ad", but often don't, and it doesn't seem to be enforced.

Maybe, just maybe, if the TER developers would do something useful they could:
 - create several categories for posts
 - allow readers to filter posts for Ads, 411s, minis, fakes, ROs, etc...
 - force the poster to select a "post type" for their post to go up

Yes, a bit more complexity, but it adds utility. The underlying technology has much potential which is currently being squandered by the development side of TER.

Yes, I can scroll to look for Ad icons, but if the ladies don't use them, I can't see them. And, let's face it, many folks are too lazy to read, search, etc. so they aren't gonna scroll past the first page. Good thing the boards are dead, huh? :-) Makes it easy to find old posts.

That's my NSHPO (not so humble professional opinion).

You would see them next to each providers ad as you scrolled down the posts on the main regional page.

It made it easy to visually find the provider ads. It seems they have disappeared.

Fugly, WTF?! Am I missing something?

The check box is there and most of the ladies are checking it but you are correct.  It shows up in the approval quere but not here. Has to be a glitch they haven't worked out in the new system yet.

Okie Dokie!

Correct, however when the boards were modified the ad icons no longer work because the boards do not move posts that were recently posted any longer.

The ad icon was there so the ads did not move to the top of the board if they were replied to, but that technology is now gone.

Thank you for the support,
