SUSPECTED AND VERIFIED RIP-OFFS AT BackPage around 5 April 2012 PART 2

I found 65 ads posted on BackPage on or around 1 April which I highly suspect are fraudulent.  If, for example I find the woman has used multiple names, especially on different sites, then I suspect fraud.  I was able to conform that about 18 of the ads ARE fraudulent by finding previous reviews under different names.

I am still working on this.  Once done, it is easy to update.

Thanks, Dude. We need to post ASAP stating "beware this is a BS ad," when they first appeared on the site to stamp out this nonsense.

One thing I've noticed about all these ads, whether on Backpage, Eros or elsewhere, is three things, besides no reviews or bad reviews:
- The shots are very glamorous pictures
- The shots do not expose much - bikini is the most revealing
- Most of the time, there is only a phone number and no email.  When there is an email.

As soon as I see an add like this, I just skip over it.  I've always been careful even when starting out, but you never know, unless you check around these types of review boards.  Unfortunately, one of us does have to take a hit before discovering the rip-offs.

I am not making light of the effort you put into this.  And, I can see where those you found reviews for are rip offs.  But the others are just listed with no reviews...what made you determine they were rip offs?

this has been going on since the invention of internet escorts. There will always be another newbie who doesnt know about scams or about TER and that's what these scammers count on. I'm surpised somebody hasnt gotten hurt pulling this crap on the wrong guy!

they all use the same MO. you call the number and a woman answers. she says she will have the girl from the ad call you back. some time later, a girl calls and asks you to call the original person to finalize the appointment. they do no screening at all, which is a bad sign. they don't even ask if youbare le like most indys (even though we all know that doesn't mean anything). they heavily push outcalls but they have an incall (when I went, it was a dumpy apartment in falls church) that they share.

in my experience, bp girls are usually indys and don't have this screener. if they do use a screener, the screener can set up the apt directly. there are at least a dozen, if not twenty girls listed through this operation now. some might even be real pics but its all a scam. if Eros had a flagging function...

there's another guy doing mass b&s on Eros right now but at least his girls are legit, if ugly.

dc has a huge gap right now. there's a killing to be made if someone could organize a 24 hour operation with a constant 4-6 girl presence with light to moderate verification. (and refrain from pulling guns on his girls)
