Every once in a while I put on my nerd hat and crunch some numbers just because it's fun.  I keep a log of every P2P encounter rated from 1 to 5.  5 is excellent, 1 is terrible. Zeros are not allowed and only whole numbers are used.  This forces me to do more than be ambivalent and put 2.5 down.  I have to decide better than average or below average.  No average cop out allowed.  I sorted by Performance, then Appearance.  Rates are for one hour and were converted to USD at the time I changed the currency.  In places like Mexico (MX), I did not change currency but paid in USD.  When I only paid for 30 minutes, I doubled the rate to keep it apples to apples.  When I paid for the entire day (24 hours), I divided the rate by 24.  That is why my lowest rate in Thailand (TH) is $14.90.  Paid the lady by the day.  I thought about posting what I have spend over the last 12+ years but it is an embarrassing number ;-).

- ISO Country Code is where I saw the lady
- Ethnicity is my best guess.  If I did not know, I asked and took her answer
- Total is how many women I saw in that country of that ethnicity
- Rate is self explanatory.  Highest paid and lowest paid.
- Appearance is subjective.  I called them as I saw them.
- Performance is based on attitude and interest more than anything else.  The better I felt walking away from the date, the better her rating...even if she did not apply any "special moves".

As an example of how my Performance scores are built, one lady in TR sat me out on the hotel balcony overlooking the city with a glass of wine and some snacks.  I tried to talk to her and she told me to be quiet and enjoy the view pointing out things of interest.  When I relaxed, got quiet and really started to enjoy the view, she slid over my way and blow me.  It was great.  No sex other than really good oral....she got a 5.

That is conversion cost.  I payed in the local currency so I calculated the cost at in USD at the time of conversion.

Keep in mind that I add an entry after each session.  I have been adding those entries over the last 12+ years.  I did not just sit down and do this one weekend.  It has been in process for years.

Interesting on all counts.  But even more than your skills in statistics would be a qualitative analysis.  Bottom line for me would be: with all this info and multiple opportunities, where do you head first when you have a pounding heart and a pocketful of drinking/fucking money?  And considering the services that please you most, with whom did you receive the most satisfaction?  It wouldn't have to be based on nationalities or whatever, but would reveal with whom do you find the most pleasure?  Assuming you can do this, why can't providers do it too?  What type of customer does she have the most fun with?  Does it break down by nationalities, body type, personality, dork length or what?

You have done admirable work but it's only the tip of the iceberg and raises more questions than it answers.  On the other hand, it's possible to over-analyze these things.  Bottom line:  know what drives you wild and be good at finding the kind of person who is most likely to get you there and then enjoy the hell out of it.

I just thought this was interesting.  It's entirely subjective because it's based on my opinion and should be taken for what is it; tripe that is somewhat interesting (and maybe somewhat creepy because I compile it).

As a Chinese-American provider, I find it really interesting that for American providers, you distinguish between "Asian" and "Chinese", and that of the US providers you've seen, about half are either Asian, Chinese or South Asian. I looked at those numbers and wondered -- at the low price point, that sounds an awful lot like AMP rates, so I'm curious as to whether the "looks" and "performance" numbers skew differently for you for AMP providers versus non-AMP providers.  

Your numbers for US-based white providers (and Chinese providres) show you felt you had less-satisfying experiences than with other ethnicities. I wonder how much outliers are affecting those averages. You have a large enough data set that a trimmed mean might be useful to calculate. For various values of "useful".

This was when I first started keeping the database.  I got flamed for calling a Korean AMP a Chinese AMP in a review.  I just started using "Asian" as an admittance that I did not know how to tell the difference at the time.  I am better at it now but never moved away from the "Asian" label.

The data set is not perfect.  All 7 of those ladies were at the same AMP and it was not a very good one.  I make no broad claims on this data.  It's just my experience and the data set is by no means diverse enough to draw any real conclusions.  I have become better at picking my companions so I now have better experiences then I did when I went to that Chinese AMP where everyone was over 40 and this was their job.

The US, Russian and TH White (Russian again) providers were really hit or miss.  Those entries have fat tails with lean middles.  Some were great, most were not.  Bait and switch, false pictures, "your lucky I am here with you" attitudes, etc etc etc.  One very well reviewed provider from New Orleans showed up to my hotel and neglected to mention she was 7 months pregnant.  I paid her for the hour because I'm sure she needed the money more than I did but that was a low scoring experience.  She bought me a drink in the bar on her way out.  Got her a "2" for performance because she at least made a gesture.

Agree that (within the confines of mutually agreed rules) how anyone enjoys this activity should be up to those involved and and for the most part the rest of us remain uninterested and noncritical.

I don't see that many have been critical of Twist but even with that said, any posting like Twist's to these forums is putting it up for others' reaction and comments and they have as much right to their opinion and view as anyone else. If you post expect (hope for? ;-) honest, and not always supportive responses. I don't really see than anyone has been rude or excessively mean so...

In a lot of ways I view the post something along the lines of TMI but clearly others find it interesting and/or helpful. That's cool too.

I was mainly referencing the reaction tw1st's post got on the Gen Boards, although the two anon alts posting in this very same thead were also weirdly aggressive IMO.

Yes, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But it makes far more sense to me for folks to click "Back" on their browser if they stumble upon something that doesn't interest them than specifically take the time out to describe just how uninteresting the post it. Then again, I guess I'm old-fashioned.

But 2.5 isn't halfway between excellent and Terrible. You've created a discreet classification system and 3 is the middle rating -- which I assume would be Average if the scale is supposed to be linear. While that's pretty obvious you can also show that 3 is the average by simply summing up 1+2+3+4+5 and find it sums to 15. As there are 5 grades, 15 divided by 5 is 3.

One interesting things I see is that it looks like your average rating on looks is lower than your average rating on performance. Wondering if you think of yourself as more critical about looks than performance or if you don't care as much about looks as performance.

I should have explained it better.  I used the following:

1 - Terrible
2 - Below average
3 - Above average
4 - Excellent
5 - Outstanding

I skew the scale so I have more degrees of good.  Without writing a dissertation, I just don't really know what average in this game is.  If I left ambivalent; "I could have taken that or left it", then is that average...no, I'd say that was below average.  I did not lose anything but I don't feel like I gained anything for my time and effort.  So net, it was really a loss.  If I left satisfied, is that average?  I'd say no, that is above average because a middle rating (average) suggests equilibrium.  I left satisfied so I have gained.  Excellent means I have a smile on my face and I will remember that session for a little while.  Outstanding is something I will not forget.

Basicly, I am not sure there is a zero sum scenario in this game.  Average to me equates to zero sum.

I, like most of us, have a selection bias.  I tend to choose ladies that I would go for IRL.  I consider myself a 4 dressed and at 3 undressed.  I tend to pick ladies that are slightly better looking than I am.  I rarely go with 5's.  I also skew to more on vibe than anything else.  The most important skill I have learned is how to communicate my needs to a booker/escort and NOT to jump at the first thing that comes along in a brothel.  That has led to better experiences.
