Would you attend an escort and client "networking" party?

In Southern California there were these events, where ladies and gentlemen could meet and mingle with each other.
Parties were held at public places, it was a ton of fun.
Anyone think this is a good idea and would you go to one of these parties?
Just a thought.

I would be interested in attending one in the DC area but would prefer if it be held in a private location/club vs a public place. I believe I saw an add for one in NYC that is coming up.

One of the more reputable providers would do this type of thing from time to time. I went to a couple. They were a lot of fun. I would definitely like to attend.

But I️t’s just a little tricky in my opinion given the climate of the DC area.

So the group of guys busted a Human Traffickers who were reviewers for another TER type sight, who made the mistake of meeting in person.  A cop attended, and they took their license plates and were thus able to tie aliases to actual people.  They were busted for partaking in "trafficking" these obviously well paid and consensual Asian providers via their reviews which were deemed "advertisements" making the reviewers into a form of virtual pimp.  Only the reviewers and the guy who provided the apartment the women shared and rented from him were punished, the women just melted away and returned to Korea or moved on to practice their trade in other cities.  Because women are always helpless victims, men are evil oppressors, because we're all the same and equal, or something.  Believe it was Seattle, with Police using special Federal anti-trafficking funds to bring down this hardened bunch of accountants and dentists.

Anyway, that put a bad smell on the idea of in person meetings beyond the one on one inherent to the hobby.

Than why did you say you were coming to the M & G in Raleigh? Then put a post up asking for deposits for appointments.

Then you backed out.

I'm going to venture to say that the "deposit" thing went over like a fart in church.

Unless there was no cover charge (or I could use the cover charge as a credit for an appointment with a woman), I see no reason to attend. I don't wanna know my fellow hobbyists and I don't really have the desire to get to know the ladies outside of a closed door

Those guys were idiots. The place they met was WAY too public, they spoke loud and vulgar and invited anyone who wanted to attend and give details about the asian girls they saw. none of the girls were there just ego driven men. I mean the waitress was clearly uncomfortable.

That was NOT a meet and greet. that was a shitshow.

I would bet there are lots of lonely people around the holidays and it’s getting cold outside. This would be great.

everywhere. For example the http://sunsensualmng.com/
I went to one of their events in Miami  and it was great! It was a HUGE PRIVATE mansion with shuttle service and everyone as far as I know was screened and legit... I found it very interesting to meet other providers who I only had heard of before and never met in person. I believe great friendships could develop out of those meetings... I'm actually thinking about visiting one again when I have the time and am in the city.

I would be interested in event like this.  Pre-meeting someone before hotel door opens would be great.  Plus you would get to see and talk with that person to see if you get along with each other

I went to one years ago. I find these to be useless and to be taking an unnecessary risk.

No interest.

I've attended these parties all across the country (it's not limited to SoCal). It seems the M&Gs lately always get cancelled for one reason or another though. If you'd like some help, I know a few upscale rental spaces perfect for these events. Let me know if you'd like help putting one together!

Several years back these were held in DC.  In fact, back then, it seemed, they were all the rage.  I'd attended them in DC, NYC, Boston, and Orlando.  All were first rate and well run.

What works well for these types of events is security, organization, and discretion.  A public place with a private room works well.  Also, have one of our own controlling access. It takes a degree of patience, persistence, and diligence, but they can be great events for everyone, usually held on a weeknight.

Though I dropped out of this scene a few years back, I heard things started to fall apart for the DC M&Gs.  One provider outed the details of a DC event on a public board.  Then all sorts of vanilla folks showed up.  And there were rumors of the owner of the hosting establishment video recording the comings and goings.  For an NYC event (again, a few years back), the host was actually idiotic enough to invite a reporter to the gathering and the reporter did an expose.  The host ended up banning himself from TER as they were basically a pariah at that point.

So, while I have many good memories of the M&G's here in DC (and elsewhere), I think there are a few ways that these things can go right and a few wildcards where things can become a disaster.

If it was well organized and screened, I'd love to!  Even though I've been here for 3 yrs now, I'd love to meet some providers in person before taking the next step.  It would be sexy and fun to boot!  I've only met with Sydney Starr and a small handful of otgers to date.

I just attended a M&G for providers and hobbyists in NYC. It was LOADS of fun, and definitely worth going to.

Music and food are very important however- so spend wisely!

I am always available to hop on a train down to union station!

I've been invited to quite a few m&g's elsewhere but haven't gone.
That could be changing as I plan to go to one out of town in a few wks (San Antonio).

I believe there is a demand in the DC area for such an event. I further think a weekday night is best for most with an early 'Happy Hour' start. Private location would be a huge plus but a hotel conferencing area could work if everyone is dressed and behaves appropriately (I have some ideas). Obviously some screening would be required to ensure safety for everyone. I like the idea of the Tyson's area bc I believe it is easy to access to most folks but I am open to here what people and providers have to say. I am also saying a flat entrance fee and open bar be great since I think that often calms the mood. Thoughts?

M & G are a great way to market yourself. It's a chance to actually get together with like minds within this hobby.

What ever you do, don't say you are going and then ask for deposits for appointment and  not show up. Obviously didn't show up due to lack of "Deposits".

Heard that someone did it at a recent M & G on the east coast.

Deposits for a M & G.......too freeking funny. Must not have had much faith in their social skills.

little you know about the reasons why I didn't attend; as matter of fact I didn't attend to the meet and greet you mentioned and put literally my face out there for "clients" like you when I can be making money and don't deal with the BS.

"like minds" in this hobby? hummm.. I prefer to stay away than interacting in a public setting with you and people that just enjoy making fun of others and put them down for the fun of it.

I really don't understand why you keep harassing me for such a long period of time.. Bored much?!

First off....can someone decipher this gibberish.

Second.....never said it was you or mentioned your name.

What I was wrote was said in passing and I found it to be a real dumb thing to do for a meet and greet.

Seems to me you have a guilty conscience to even mention it......knowing that it was you who did it.
