It seems a very useful alt to carrying stacks of cash.

Would be handy. My concern is that it might be a source of legal concern somewhere along the line.

Link is below.

Funny this has come up, had a business dinner with a visiting provider recently and we discussed accepting credit cards for payment or partial payment/ deposit for appointments. She reassured me that with her "business" running a few hobby charges has never presented her any problems. But I still have mixed feelings, even for my "business," that I have had before the hobby, I keep it to cash or money order. Info shared on GD board seems like it may not be a good idea- even under the guise of a legitimate business.

Cash is so easier, and less fuss. Also, if you MUST use a credit card, see if the provider accepts all or partial payment with gift cards which can be purchased with a CC. There are ways around it. For me, I am not into making waves or have any attention drawn my way.

What's the next step? Is it possible to put pussy on layaway? Pay as you go for a future appointment. LOL! Just saying...

If you have an iPhone, there is an attachment that lets you swipe credit cards with your phone.

I know a few people over the years that had wayyyyy too many issues with gents using the credit card, then doing a chargeback immediately after they leave even with a signature. Its too much bullshit and headache IMHO. As a provider or company I would be cautious with doing this

Anything but cash can be traced backwards and forwards.   That means from hobbiest to provider or provider back to hobbiest.

That said, there are electronic ways to pass money that are pretty simple including PayPal and Google Wallet.  Another thing one might try (I haven't really thought about the pros and cons) is setting up a GOFUNDME.

If you use any traceable method of payment you may want to consider having a visible free-lance occupation like modeling so that you can report your income and pay your fair share of income taxes, thus avoiding problems with tax evasion such as brought down Pamela Martin and Associates.

I will be happy to help set up any of those, though I am sure I would not be the only such volunteer.

The 'Bill Pay' feature at my Credit Union allows me to make regular electronic or check by mail payments to individuals as well as businesses.   With no fees!    Is this a great country or what?
