Why aren't there any (or many) providers in Georgetown?

I've always stayed there or Capitol Hill, but it seems like most of the providers are in Dupont Circle.

Thoughts?

Traffic.

There is no metro access, M Street is a major pain in the ass given any time of day.  Its not easily accessible and expensive.  Parking is non-existent and/or expensive.

Every now and then one pops-up, but I'm sure there are a ton of NCNS.

I have and do host in Georgetown, but I would never publicly advertise it as Georgetown because the area and number of hotels in that area proper is small...much like Woodley Park is its own area, but always gets lumped into Dupont because there are 2 or 3 hotels there.

I prefer Dupont for access, restaurants, prices, general convenience. There's nothing wrong with Georgetown or Capitol Hill per se, but Dupont offers more in my opinion. (shrug)

Are you planning a trip soon?  Would love to schedule a date!

I do well in Gtown but better in Dupont. Parking is a bear in Georgetown. You could even mosey on over to Tysons after DC if you're already in the area. Lots of nice guys there and it's very close to DC. Best of luck, sent you a PM with more info

here are a couple of reasonable hotels in Georgetown and Glover Park, but there are many others just across Rock Creek Park in the West End or in Dupont.  During the day it's not too hard to find parking in Georgetown on side streets.  I fact, I often park on P or Q Street just west of the RC Parkway and walk to my appointments in Dupont.  It's free.  I find parking in Dupont to be unbearable as well as expensive either on the street or at a garage.
