It seems to me that regional boards are the logical place to find ISO posts-unless I'm missing something. I mean, they certainly don't belong on GD or newbie boards since they are ISO someone in this area.
Thanks Jake-I was not aware of it. I am still kind of new here....but it does seem that TER is not against having ISO posts on regional boards because they do approve all of them.
Guess y'all have never been horny.....
If I wanted an escort from MY area I'd post in MY area...
Give the man a break and share the board
I use them. It saves time and work great when you're looking for a last minute meeting.
If you don't like them just skip them.
I agree but I never see the constant need to put down guys trying to use this forum
...from a lack of self esteem. Easy to hide behind a mouse pad. Of course, just my humble opinion.
...was in reference to the general negativity displayed by a few on this board
yeah, sometimes the boards do get negative. can't argue there. i was being kind of general about the topic. you were being specific. both valid points. rock on my friend.

I think the point is that these belong on the ISO board. No offense to you, or your lack of desire to take 90 seconds to put in the 'work' of using the SEARCH option.
Just as this board isn't to write full reviews, because there's a section dedicated to it, this isn't the ISO section. Them's the rules. Not our rules. TER's rules. This is just one they aren't enforcing.
Cheers.

...area? DC vs NOVA vs MD for example. The "search" function is great if you have time to search, decipher, contact, etc. Posting the ISO on the local board allows a provider to be pro-active in contacting the hobbyist for a specific set of circumstances. I just don't see the harm with an occasional ISO post on the local/regional board.
If you're properly tagging your ISO post on the ISO board with your last minute request in the specified city, it works exactly the same, without breaking guidelines of the general board. Just as when I post a visiting ad in another city, I must state my dates and area I'll be in for ease of use. That's how you post your last minute ISO ads on the ISO board.
Basically I couldn't care less. I'm just saying that no matter how you cut it, it belongs on the ISO board. They used to be moderated out and not allowed. The moderators recognize them as ISO posts, for the reasons I stated earlier.
This is a post category that slips through the moderation cracks and some people are pointing it out
FYI, I do use the search function quite a bit but when an opportunity to play opens up at the last minute iso's get me in touch with the ladies looking to fill an opening that might go unused and it also eliminates the nasty responses from the ladies who get offended by a last minute request. I learned my lesson when I was put on a ladies do not see list just because I didn't meet her time requirement for scheduling a meeting.
No argument regarding the place for iso's is on the iso board but it doesn't seem to be a big sticking point with ter. There have been iso posts on the regional boards for as long as I've been a member. So that rule is pretty mute at this point
Moot or mute, at this point we're just repeating ourselves for no apparent reason.
Cheers.

From the TER Discussion Board Guidelines: In Search Of posts should be posted on the ISO board, Porn Stars board, the Transsexual board or the Regional board.
ISOs are allowed on the regional boards by TER rules.
I too sometimes post ISO in the D.C. regional boards because of schedule conflicts. The ISO board itself is too general, not enough views, and is not specific to a particular region. The regional boards are specific to a region and it gets more views. Also, the hobbyist of the regional boards has more knowledge of providers because they live in that region and can give suggestions. Providers that are touring are more than likely to visit the regional boards to give their suggestions or offer their services. I hardly ever visit the ISO board and it is one of those boards that are kinda of useless, like their "media" board.
Feels like no one uses the search option or the ISO board for this area... The moderators used to not allow it. I know if you reply to one of these ISO posts on the local board and forget to put your link in, the moderators deny it, stating that a link is needed for a reply to an ISO thread lol so that tells me the moderators realize they're ISO posts.
(sorry about the ramble)
xx
to a casual observer the ISO board looks pretty dead, not completely, but fairly comatose at any rate. so it would look to someone wanting to make an ISO post that the odds of getting a response are rather small.
logically it would follow that an ISO on a regional board would stand a better chance of success.
in a handful of years here I have used the ISO board once and a regional board once for an ISO. my post on the ISO got 0 responses. my post on a regional board got several responses one of which worked out rather nicely. I have no reason to think my experience is uncharacteristic.
I think that the bashing of folks on regional boards should cease and regional ISO requests should be permitted. regional ISO requests work. ISO board requests don't. that's the bottom line of it
I think its allowed because there are few posts in general. Not that a few prolific posters have all but disappeared. Not much beefy material left at were, its all but a dream now.
Exit...stage left.
that's another one!
Two points. One I wish I could type todasy. Two these posts about what belongs on what board really belong somewhere other than on the regional discussion boards.

11 of the last 25 posts on this board are ISO posts. If it's something that's technically not following the guidelines I can see why some people would mention it. In some cities, like my old home board Boston, people get mad if one person posts too many threads and call them trolls. It's not a stretch thinking people won't like posts that actually don't follow guidelines.
Again, I'm just stating points so both sides can be understood. It really doesn't matter to me. I don't post ISO ads. I try to follow the guidelines like a good girl
Just sayin'.
they are being "bashed" with a post???
the stats you mention are close to 50% and the question was why it's allowed NOT why some are doing it (since there is already a board for those posts.) It doesn't make me angry. I couldn't care less. If I was I would have put it on the suggestion board or emailed admin. Maybe someone on here knew the reason. Don't know if it' s the same on other regional boards
If admin removed these posts I wonder if the same # of ISO posts would move to that board
It seems that people who are doing it want to state why they're going to continue regardless of guidelines. I think this thread kinda got off point and a few are a little defensive.
Hi All,
I know this thread seems to have run its course, but I read through it because I wanted to get a sense of the group. Then I went and read the published guidelines. Did anyone notice that they read:
In Search Of posts should be posted on the ISO board, Porn Stars board, the Transsexual board or the Regional board.
"...or the Regional board" means to me that an ISO for the DC area belongs on the Regional DC Board and is not a violation in spirit or letter of the guidelines. It makes perfect sense to me. Why have a regional board if not to try and elicit information and feedback from the local "regional" crowd? I've posted ISO's in the past both hoping to catch the attention of a lovely provider as well as the men who might point me in the right direction. I really doubt you'd get that kind of feedback on the General ISO board. I only go there when I'm in a part of the country that lacks a regional board.
I don't mean to sound high and mighty or anything, but after I read the Guidelines, I thought it might be useful to mention it to the group since I saw another reference to this ISO thread in a newer thread,
that settles it,
seems like there are much more this year than previous years

This is a public forum so we are all free to use it as such and to post things hobby related or provider related. I come here and I sign on and then I scan the pages and I click on posts I am interested in. If I see a post that does nothing for me, I move on and do not give it another thought. That is all. nothing to stress over.
I am fine and do not have a problem getting business, but I do look around when I am online and if I see an ISO post that I think to myself " Hmm sounds promising", I will respond to the person. No harm no foul. Besides being a sex goddess, I am also a businesswoman.
...Sounds like a good idea to me.
Every other forum for anything has sub forums and sticky/pinned post. I think it's time this board underwent some changes in terms of features.
