other boards. For example, if you check the Florida or Atlanta boards, you will see the cruise director because their names are highlighted in dark red (not bright red as with previous moderators).
Just curious, I haven't seen those yet here. However, they need two volunteers, a hobbyist and a provider, and they need an abundant of volunteers to make it successful. Apparently Florida and Atlanta has many volunteers, so it enable them have cruise directors.
I for one wouldn't want to volunteer, simply because I don't have enough time. However, it does leave a bad taste in my mouth looking at who the volunteers are here in DC. It's just my opinion. Reason, because I don't want to feel inferior to anyone.
Also, what's the point of "report this ad" if there are cruise directors. The cruise director's purpose is to encourage the boards--it was stated in the State of the Union address--and nothing else.
So, any volunteers? Or, we in DC don't need one? What's your take on it? Also, what do you think about being a cruise director as it relates to how a person(s) perceive you within this hobby? Thanks!
Ever since our moderator was removed there has been a downhill slump in activity on the board, hobbiests and providers are not happy with the "host and hostess" that have been selected and many patrons are rrefusing to post. Sometimes if it aint broken you really should not fix it.
I applaud TER for making the effort to constantly improve, lets be clear. However, I feel like a TER rep has just walked up and said " Hi I'm from the government and I'm hear to help."
I never thought I'd say this, however I want my fugly back (laugh)
