Some are not smart to enough to get intel and do research, read reviews, etc. Guys have been busted from other sites (several other review sites) and/or other major hobby ad sites that you put ads on.

Enormous waste of tax payers resources. I wonder how many other real types of crimes they could have been investigating.

The only thing entertaining in that article was the "21 Jumpstreet" reference- personally, I rarely hobby, but when I do, I avoid PG- I'm more worried about Chris Hanson doing "to Catch a John", than I am getting caught up for not properly vetting a provider- sometimes, u gotta go with your instincts (big head)

I would be more afraid of her wanting to rob me then LE, but either way I would stay away.

And ladies are smart. Travel to some motel in College Park - NOPE.

Backpage is okay, but like with any site you have to do research and be smart. I mean girls from Eros rip guys off, but it more likely cops won't pay for Eros.

If someone calls me and says "Are you a cop?" I hang up. Clearly they didn't do any research and probably not the type of client I best cater to. I am a definitely GFE (sweet, personable, charming, funny). As well, I have a deep web presence. I don't have time or even feel comfortable convincing someone I am not a cop or to come see me. I'd rather catch up on Dexter onDemand.

If those gents were paying attention there were plenty of red flags. I've seen a few PG County providers, but never without doing a little homework first,  and never with the little head in charge.

Not a bad cautionary tale though.

I don't know, but could it just be that LE is aiming for the lower end of the spectrum because that's where they are more likely to find traffickers and their victims, drug users, and predators?  Any of those types that they catch I say more power to them.  Of course, LE makes mistakes too but guess what -- they often know what they are doing whether we like it or not.  It is wise not to underestimate them, IMO.

We all love the thrill of that new-to-us provider, but this is all the more reason to find a few ATFs who offer you enough variety to keep things interesting and only stray if absolutely certain.  Scary stuff, I certainly made enough blind calls to BP early on and even saw one such girl rather recently after a series of emails had me too enticed.  

LE is only going to get smarter and more creative.

I totally agree- I just need a decent rotation- a handful of ATFs to keep variety in play- early on, which was recently, I went in "cold" and just called BP providers @ random- I didn't know any better then- but now I know, and knowing is half the battle (GI Joe lol)

There is one who has reviews that charges those prices, but she is not in pg county though. One that I saw back in 2008 for $200/hour is now $150 hour or $80 for half hour.

Sometimes the LE ads have higher prices, you can never tell.

After reading that article, it was not clear to me that any of those people agreed to have sex for money.  The ads posted did not mention sex.  The article did not say that anyone mentioned it on the phone or while in the room.  $80/60 minutes?  I can get a regular massage for that price.  Maybe that is what I wanted.
Getting a woman to show you her underwear is enough to arrest her for prostitution?  Really?   I see lots of girls wearing skimpier stuff at my local pool.

Many charges get dropped because LE does not follow rules of evidence, others because of first charge, they got pbj, probation before judgement.

I do feel bad for BP users.  Unfortunately many of the clients (I hesitate to call them hobbyists) have low incomes but still want to hobby.
Many of the providers are disorganized and do little screening.

Realistically to hobby properly one needs the proper tools and the proper income.  Otherwise we play with fire, in more ways than one.
