I've never used one so I'm curious.  Primarily, does the CR keep the dick hard even after orgasm?  Is the "fun" in providing different sensations to the penis?  Or simply using the CR produces the fun?

For those who have had experience with cock rings, would you say it eventually makes you reliant on the cock ring in order to keep an erection if you just start wearing it for fun as part of the bedroom 'scene' and not because you really need it?

I know what I've noticed in guys I've been with in the hobby so I'm just wondering if it's a slippery slope and something that men should think about a little more before using them all the time.  

My first year doing this, I only encountered older gentlemen who'd had prostate issues or whatever, using them, but since being a tad more active in the fetish scene, I see more and more young guys using them as part of the experience.  I'm inclined to believe they have an effect in the long run.

...cock rings don't pose any long-term risks.  Being careful not to wear a cock ring for longer than 40 minutes, and making sure the cock ring fits properly are the most important parts.  Using leather snap-on cock rings or rubber ones can make for easy removal should something go awry.  These types of cock rings also won't damage the sensitive nerves and connections at the base of the penis and scrotum.

So, just play safe.  Cock rings are so much fun. I don't think there's much need to worry. :)
