I wonder if I am in a rare circumstance.  My wife knows of my activities and even helps choose my dates.  She maintains veto power over who I see. Fortunately, for me she has excellent taste.  

I have had the following surreal conversation while surfing the net:

Me: Hey, look. She's kinda hot and the reviews are great.
Her: Eh, no. Why don't you call that blonde that you like? Or how about ______? She treats you really well.
Me: Ooooh...OK. If you say so.

We have an exceptional sex life and this just adds to it.  I don't hobby as often as some (Beefeater is my idol), but when I do it's very much out in the open. No guilt, no need for the hobby phone, no lies.

 

Lucky man! Most of us sex addicts dont get that luxury. And trust me, it's a luxury. I need a woman like your wife.

That is too strange to believe...sounds like something for Ripleys Believe Or Not...in fact, I'm not even sure I like the concept, but, hey, as they say, whatever turns your crank...

When we were dating, I explained my philosophy that monogamy is not part of the male DNA. But that men agree to it (often happily) as a cultural concession.  I was very pleased when she agreed with me. So, my wife has a realistic understanding of men.  More to the point, she has a realistic understanding of her man.  

Her sexual appetite is a match for mine. That is not an issue or the point.  Yeah, she's smart, funny, georgous...blah, blah, blah. The point is that she has helped structure a relationship that has removed the allure of the forbidden fruit.  Because I can, I don't want to so much (Again, she knows her man). And civie ladies have almost no chance because of the attendant drama risk. She prefers the transactional nature of the hobby because...well, it's transactional.  These lovely ladies have no interest in taking a permanent role in our lives.

Also, she feels that I earn this privilege via  career, money management, retirement planning, cooking, household chores, etc.  She mentions a new belly ring she wants and I'm on the next metro and then walking to Adams Morgan to find the exact one. I don't take my situation, or her, for granted.  

Absolutely, 100% guarantee she's participating in extra-curricular activities, as well...Maybe you know that and just decided not to mention it...I hope so for your sake...

Ours is a relationship based on honesty. I have been many things in my life, but a hypocrite is not one of them.

I know married providers who would never allow their husbands to stray (as been discussed here previously).  As a swinger in a previous life, I used to love watching my partners acting slutty but I know they only tolerated me enjoying myself.
