So the guy ask one of the LLMs to write his review in the style of Dragnet's Sgt. Friday! Love it - even if I cannot actually read the review so cannot form any opinion about the AI claims.
It totally reads like a Sgt. Friday report. I don't think it's ai. Maybe not even intentionally funny. It's a familiar style to me, like something I used to do. Specific, no adjectives.
The wife and I review college essays for foreign students applying to colleges. Some of the stuff they write is just too much. It's almost like they look for a more complicated sounding synonym for a simple word in their attempt to sound more intelligent.
I am almost tempted to ask one of the LLMs to write a review just to see what (assuming it will) it will come up with. If it's not deadpan Sgt. Friday stuff then play with prompts to see what it would take to get an AI written review to sound like Sgt. Friday.
I have not read a review for a number of years now but was generally good with just some clear facts stated about what was provided and some basics about looks and personality. Way too many of the reviews I've seen, intentionally or not, seem to come across more as a review of the review's performance than that of the provider.
