….for some constructive advice / opinions.
I’ve been predominantly an agency guy for most of my time in the hobby but I have met and enjoyed the company of independent ladies throughout my time as a hobbyist and I have several reviews and references to show for it (along with some great memories!).
Over the past few weeks I’ve gotten the cold shoulder from all of the independent ladies I’ve tried to contact. Either no response at all, or cancelations at the last minute and I’d really like to know why?
I have good current references and Date Check. I cannot find anything on the blacklist sites that I know and I haven’t done anything to get listed on them either.
I’ve had dry spells before where it just didn’t seem to work out but this time seems different.
I’m wondering if anyone has had the same experience and how they broke out of it.
Ladies if you have any suggestions, I’m all ears. Or if you’d like to help a fella out I’m available!
PM’s are OK. Thank

I stick pretty much with independents, and while doing your homework can help, there are those times that things just don't work out.  I have gone through weeks where everything I had lined up fell through, and I'm scrambling for a last minute thing, which is rarely good or fun. If you try to be like the airlines, and over book, then you have another problem on your hands (well, it's not really a problem, but it can be exhausting and time consuming, and a little nerve wracking, if you've double booked for the same day, which I don't do -- it just invokes Murphy's Law).

Rest assured that its probably not you, and probably not the ladies, really -- just a confluence of events and bad timing. Keep plugging away -- oh, and make sure your introductory email is inviting; make it more than just a time and place note.  Add some language about yourself, and let her known that you've gone through her website.  Let them know why you chose them -- everyone wants to be wanted.

Good luck . . .

While I would agree with you, based on your accounting, your current dilemma may be more than a dry spell.  However, if we're talking say 2 - 3 ladies I would not be as concerned.

With that said.  If you've submitted to a reference check verification format then you may be a victim of not having a history of seeing independents.

Another, less "personal" reason could be the season.  Typically, this is the slow season for providers i.e. summer vacations; tax refunds have been spent; back to school expenses are right around the corner; summer fling fuck buddies reduce the demand for provider services; just to name a few.  Hence, providers may be more fickle chasing the next session i.e. if you're booking for one hour and the next guy wants to book for an overnight then you're getting cancelled.

Worst case scenario is that one of the ladies may have read one of your reviews and for whatever reason/s threw salt on you to the point where other have picked up on it.  You may not have given one of their peers the rating the rating they thought they should have received or you revealed some session info in your reviews that they deemed off limit

Agencies are in it to make money !!! As long as you show up on time, are a decent human being with good hygiene, and don't badmouth the agency, you are fine. They won't turn you down.

When dealing with independents, there are lot more things to consider from both sides..

A lot of independents may not want to see guys of certain race or outside certain age range. They may not want to see a guys who write certain types of reviews, or who write reviews in the first place. They may not want to see guys with big board presence. Sometimes, I've found that some independents are just plain unorganized.

My success rate with independents about 40-50% with both hot and cold streak. I may get few successes in a row, followed by cancellations, no-reply, to just being turned down...

So.. Welcome to a whole new world of hobbying...

maintain a good relationship with a couple of providers that I can always go to advice. Actually one is the first I saw in the hobby, and she taught me everything I know about how to hobby. So, when I hit a rough patch, and we all do, I can go to her and ask her advice. One time, when a date went bad, the provider went psycho and threatened to blacklist me on every site out there, making up a bunch of crap. I went back to my advisor to ask her the check the provider's sites just to make sure there isn't something out there that I couldn't find on my own. She checked and the provider never did follow through with it. Of course, I do go back to see my first periodically as well

Not an unreasonable assertion and we have no evidence to the contrary.

I also have to ask how many is all? Tall makes a valid reality check point.

There could be something to this since human beings are not logical in the traditional sense and some people, the dumbest things set them off. What I have noticed  is for 2013 80% of your reviews are for agency girls.
Sadly there has been a lot of speculation floating around about this agency when the simple truth, as we know it today is, they are on vacation. However, there are people running around stoking the flames of Agency vs Independent and there are women who will not see a guy who sees agencies because of [ Insert whatever reason here ].  So you might have that factor or not.

So lets test this logic with an inverse comparison.

Independents are NOT in this for the money.  As long as you do NOT show up on time, are not a decent human being, have poor hygiene and DO bad mouth or write bad reviews of said woman, they will see you ?

{ Cross arms and taps foot }

Wait for it......

So what your saying is capitalism is bad if you are an agency but good if you are an independent; who doesn't like guys who show up on time, have good hygiene and will write bad reviews of them? Which then infers that independents don't share any 'fundamentally basic' universal standards with Agencies?  Since I seem to recall many a posting of gentlemen complain they been turned down by agencies and oh wait, I seem to recall postings of guys complaining they've been turned down by independents.....

So ahh, shall I let go of your tail now CurlyW ?  :D

as well, but with their own bodies. Their bodies; their rules. There is certainly higher bar in cases of lot of higher end escorts which you have to meet before they can see you. The bar is much lower in case of most of the agencies before they let you be their patron.

Now, I wasn't talking about your agency, was I. You may have certain other criteria in place, which may have wonderfully worked for you. But that's not the case of most of the other agencies.  So trying to fit my statement to your business model can only unnecessarily complicate things.

That being said, an inverse of a logical statement is not necessarily always true.

For e.g. If the conditional statement is..

If it does rain, then Curly doesn't go to baseball game.  This automatically doesn't mean that
If it doesn't rain then Curly goes to baseball game...  If it doesn't rain, I can go do some other activity. Although, given my love for the game that's highly unlikely.

However, A conditional statement's contrapositive is always true...

If it does rain, then Curly doesn't go to baseball game. This does mean that..
If you see Curly at the baseball game, then it must not have rained...  Now, that, assuming that you do trust Curly to tell the truth.

Yes, now you may go my tail. I've to go an brew me some coffee :

The feedback is very helpful and with all of the PM's I'm sure the dry spell is over. I will respond to all of them. Got to love those DC ladies!  :-

Seems of late I've been having the opposite issue as you....issues with agencies versus independents, so who knows.  No problem setting up with most of the independents.  I'm ok with a couple of AMPs and one agency (that is on vacation) that I was cleared with awhile ago, but no go with any new agencies.

Who knows....weird.
