I agree with Ms Mocha; Tysons corner for me is far easier to navigate around than DC, from my experience staying in Tysons most of the hotels are exquisite and plenty of great restaurants if you go out to eat or have a date. DC also has many wonderful restaurants just for me Tysons is nicer.

Hey there fellas/ladies. I'll be visiting the area and was wondering which area was best to stay in? I'm like so overwhelmed looking at all the different places. Also, it would be great to hear areas to avoid! Thanks!!!

....well the most recommended seem to be Dupont Circle, nearby Thomas Circle could work as an alternative being 4-5mins apart like Pentagon City is to Crystal City and take your pick around Downtown etc

DuPont Circle (and often Foggy Bottom referred to as DuPont Circle) is popular but getting there can be a pain for guys in NoVa.
Smart touring girls split their time between both NOVA and DC venues. Much like BWI is a good option for MD in addition to say Rockville.

Thank you all for being kind and answering. It's my first trip out here, and definitely will put some more thought into it next time I come out! I Really appreciate all the response and pm's!
