If you leave a incall and LE questions you tell them that need to speak to a lawyer. Say nothing else. LE like to use pressure tactics to get a confession. The more guys they can get to admit something the more charges against the lady. Each charge in the state of Maryland is $500 each.

To summarize it in three words: Lawyer, lawyer, and... oh yes, lawyer.

I think I've made my point.

The right to remain silent, and the right to a lawyer, are separate constitutional rights and the exercise of a constitutional right cannot lawfully be iused against you -- i.e., to justify an arrest, prolonged detention, or introduced as evidence against you, etc.. If you say anything, your statement may be used against you. If you say "I want a lawyer" -- no questions.  If you say "I wish to remain silent", silence cannot be used against you. Best bet: say "I want a lawyer, and I wish to remain silent."  Also, under Maryland law any threats or promises cause a statement to be involuntary and thus unreliable/inadmissible. So if the cops say stuff like "things will go easier if you cooperate", or "I'll speak to the prosecutor for you", or "a pretty boy like you will have a hard time in jail", then still STFU, but if you do say anything, legally speaking, your statement is involuntary.  Be polite, be repectful, and just STFU.  The ride might be rough, but ride the ride and make it very tough for cops to make the charges stick.  The cops would not talk to you if they had enough evidence.  The only reason the cops will talk to you is to make the case stronger or expand the investigation. Remember: you do not have to prove your innocence; the government must prove your guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

You don't have to have attitude... Just ask if you're free to go. State that you do not consent to any search and state that you do not feel comfortable speaking without your legal counsel.
