"Police targeted street, hotel and internet crimes."

"Support from citizens and several major hotel chains helped police in the operation."

Very few facts in that article I wonder what the true story is?

I am glad that the information is out there so I can take the precautions on who/when/where I will see. The lack of details can be interrupted in a lot of ways. The key point are that other people clued them in what was going on, hotels chains and people who observed things....

GWBridge1089 reads

That hotels and others alerted authorities. It would be useful to know those locations to avoid. If they were motels I could understand but the big chains might be more problematic. It might mean surveillance cameras are being used, for example.

Is this a trend?  Little or no infornmation?  Any one know what places were targeted?

The arrests in this round of reverse prostitution operations brings the total number of people arrested in such cases to 29 in the calendar year.

These stings in DC happen during this time of the year. If search back on this board you see that August and Sept are months they crackdown. A bunch of BP providers got busted in DC last Sept 2010.

As campaignins pick up and elections are upon us, it seems the crack downs pick up for the publicity and hey, we're cracking down on crime.  Meanwhile those harming our way of life with greed and true criminal enterprise keep lining their pockets at the expense of everyday people.

The news doesn't seem to be anyplace else 24 hours after first report.

Now do you understand why Companions Screen?

This should be a warning of what "not" to do when searching for a companion and when screening.

I'm shocked when I here that hobbyist and companions are still being arrested.

Remember, it works both ways for hobbyists and providers, screen - screen - screen!

This does not sound like a screening problem to me. It sounds like providers attracting the atention of hotel staff. A smart provider moves hotels every two days before she draws attention to herself. I once saw a provider at anice Tysons hotel and had great time decided to repeat a week later so I call her and she tells me she is at the same hotel. asked her if she had been there the whole time and said yes. I said no thanks bye

I am neither new been hobbying 15 years. How long have you been doing this sweetheart? I am in my 50's so I am not young either SWEETHEART

....I offer outcalls to very few hotels, I can tell you that security in the "chain hotels", has become fierce.  My outcalls are usually at four and five star hotels, and their complaint is that there are too many "trollers", late at night.  Ladies that outwardly solicit gentlemen at the bar.  I "work" with a few bartenders and concierges in town, and the number of ladies being asked to leave, or have been banned in increasing rapidly.

Again, the bottom line is: ladies you need to screen.  If a gentleman does not provide me his true name, place of employment, position, corporate phone and web address, I do not meet him. Ladies and gentlemen; stay safe.

Hugs and Kisses

So much that LE is placing under cover agents to watch traffic in bars at hotels in our region. Some of the local hotels have LE in the lobby watching because the traffic was so bad.

Our region is getting like Pittsburgh PA with LE and security guards. When I came in last night I caught the security sleeping during his shift, lol.

If you think the MPDC has enough man power and financial where with all to hire "under cover agents" and put them at every single hotel in DC to target the hobby you are out of your damn mind. Stop spreading your paranoia and grow a fucking set. Did you think for a hot second it's August, hotel traffic has a traditional lull and no better quality hotel in downtown DC would turn away a respectable looking young lady who wants to stay for 3 or 4 nights? And if you thought for a second that most all downtown DC hotels didn't have a security detail in place already you are more naive than I thought.

To me you sound more like either a. a jilted hobbyist who got turned down and now is sitting in his sandbox angry or b. a local agency owner who doesn't like that the independent ladies have finally returned en mass to DC and are shrinking their cut of the hobbyist pie. Either way get a grip and stop crying wolf.

For more clarification this solicitation problem is a problem in the Maryland suburbs. Several providers have clued me in on why they have avoid certain areas in Maryland.

Ya think there buddy? Is it maybe there is a fucking task force in Mogo county setup after a dumb provider went all Charlie Sheen in a hotel bar and got herself popped and a dark cloud over the agency she worked for?

on.Pins.and.Needles657 reads

MOCO is sharing info with other jurisdictions in and out of state, especially if has been a provider they have previously busted. I know of 3-4 who are BP providers with TER reviews who got busted in another county and were original busted in MoCO. They are in big trouble for probation violations and doing things such as defaulting on bail payments.

I think the likely ladies to get noticed are the ones who keep getting towels and food brought to their room and ignore maid's requests to clean.  If the agencies or indi would spread out the appointments, the foot traffic would go unnoticed and if the guy is allowed to walk into the room without knocking (has already been cleared and coordinated with agency or indi ), then I do not think the neighbors would notice a different guy each time.  The only problem is the noise of the springs, the bed banging and moans.

I recall a hotel in Tysons about 2 years back was checking photos of "suspected providers" against ladies who checked  in.  A lady who checks in looking  scruffy and unkempt and wearing baggy clothes is less likely to attact attention than a lady wearing a one piece mini skitrt, and cleavage being held back by one button.  I know profiling is what the TSA does, but just as sure as crap stinks, hotel clerks who want to get a raise (not biologcially) will be profiiling tool

Some hotels are having keycard access to elevators after 9 or 10 pm. Some hotels in DC they are questing guys who enter in the hotel to see where they are going if they don't have a keycard....

You raise some  great points. I'm always worried about the staff and I'm not sure what to do other than giving them a $20 tip every day - but obviously that is "suspicious" too... Anyway.

The main issues with using a hotel is that you will HAVE to get new towels and most of the time new cover sheets too... Most hotels might have 3 or 4 towels hung and I bring my own for myself, but 3-4 towels will NOT be enough... And the cover sheet tends to get body hair, lube, makeup, fluids, whatever on it, so sometimes I do need to ask housekeeping to change it. I always tip them well but worry about them reporting the "suspicious activity/request"... Any suggestions on how to avoid that?
Frankly, I don't feel like traveling cross country with a dozen sets of towels and changes of bedding, but I would also not want to be blacklisted in any hotels.

As far as leaving the door open, I always feel a bit weird, but I see that it makes sense and is safer than knocking.

Btw, what do you all think about the "Do not disturb" sign? Yes or no?

Also, I have known of hotels checking telephone numbers as well. Especiallly for providers who post on BP. That is why I always give a alternate number when checking in.

So it turns out it was a sting on street walkers and City Paper dwellers...using low low end hotels as the bait. But no no, I was totally wrong thinking that because a friend of a friend of a buddy said it was totally targeting 4 Star hotels and the end is near and hide yo wife, hide yo kids...can we please now never allow these posts to get any traction since all the fear mongers here clearly had zero idea what the hell they were crying wolf about?

on.Pins.and.Needles1339 reads

They were in fact targeting internet providers. A provider that I saw this weekend had to leave DC because of hotel questioning clients.

The press release caused her normal volume of calls to go way down resulting in her going some where else. It was good for me because I was able to walk from my hotel to her hotel and have a good time with her.

She was in a 4 star hotel.

Stop the fear mongering, you have no clue as to what you are talking about and are going to wind up spreading so much misinformation that you'll get yourself killed.

DC vice will go out there way to get people. I know of a case where they paid for a cab for outcall. They had the cab travel 25 miles away. The provider came into the room and was busted when she walked in the room from another state. This provider has TER reviews also and she does not post on BP but cityvibe and erols.
