You may or nay not already know I have been somewhat ...unavailable. This was done on purpose.

Over the past few weeks I have received many e-mails from individuals saying things like : "Hey, are you available in DC today?" Almost always such e-mails get ignored. Also, I have received a few e-mails stating only "Saw you on TER and would love to get together." These e-mails as well often get ignored. If your message was ignored, do not be offended as it was not personal. Unsolicited e-mails from strangers, with no info on who they are or how they found me seem...suspicious. If I had posted an ad or such, I would expect such e-mails, but in the absence of this such e-mails seem strange.  As well, there is a reason I haven't posted or advertised - I am unavailable.

My personal website is private for good reason. And though you may be an admirer, if you never communicated with me before, an e-mail requesting access to my site will probably get ignored.

For my friends with whom I have met and/or know well, e-mails from you are always welcome. Just make sure that if you have changed your e-mail address recently you make it clear. E-mail addresses I do not recognize might just be ignored as e-mail addresses are how I recognized individuals. If you have communicated with me before, but we have never met, you can e-mail me as well. But again, the familiarity of your e-mail address or board handle is how I will recognize you.

But let's say you are new to me and find my new policy "unfair". You can e-mail me as well, but be sure to provide enough info to me so that I might feel comfortable communicating back and forth with you. I am sure doing this shouldn't be a problem as many do it all the time.

As for ladies seeking references, I haven't had any problems here  - so probably nothing to really discuss!!!

Other than that, I hope everyone is well and safe. It's been "wacky and shaken" in the business over the last six months or so, and I hope everyone is managing well. Just remember to keep things in perspective, don't stress out too much and trust your gut.
