So I used to travel to DC infrequently and always stayed in DuPont Circle. It has been a few years since I have been in the area and I just wanted to make sure it is still a good area, or find out if there are better ones now. Not being a local I find its best to ask for help in these matters. My only real concern is that its not going to be a hassle for my friends; either in traffic or during entrance. Easy access from the airport would be nice as well. Thanks for your help in advance

but it partly depends on the market you intend to attract. Dupont Circle is still frequented by many ladies. But, Northern Virginia is also getting a fair amount of attention as it is centrally located, easy metro access, and avoids the traffic hassles in Tyson's Corner and Woodbridge.

While you are at it, Crystal City and Tysons Corner are popular these days and visiting providers often spend time in two or three locales.  
Crystal City, has the METRO(subway) which helps many with the traffic issue for getting around better. Also, popular, Ive read, with office workers for that reason  and mid day meetings.  
Tysons does not have METRO yet but will soon. In the meantime its a very distinct market from DC due to travel and distance issues. More like Houston even...office buildings and shopping. Oh yeah and traffic..(but you expected that..lol)

While you are correct that this has been answered many times... It could also be said that information changes I just wanted to be sure that I had the most up to date information I appreciate your time and helpfulness in crafting a response. Always Nice to know we have a community to count on.

Thank you both for the wonderful well wishes and the advice. It seems I have been hearing as many good things as bad about Tysons Corner. As for the two or three locales you suggested I prefer a small dance card; so I don't have much interest in maximizing my exposure per say..  I am more concerned with being in a safe and pleasurable environment. Touring for me is about a mini vaca with some fantastic stimulation haha not going from place to place trying to fill every hour possible.
