Troubling Encounter

I had a very troubling experience with a relatively newly advertised Asian agency.

I'm not sure I want to completely out them on this, but I do want to make other members aware so that they can pay attention to make sure it does not happen to them.

I called to make an appointment and was given an address and told to call when I arrived, as is typical. Upon arriving I called to get the location and was told to hold on.

I could overhear the operator calling someone and speaking in their native language to someone.  this took a few minutes--more than I would expect.

She told me to get out of the car and when I did I noticed a petite Asian woman, in what looked like a  long nightshirt, bath shoes, heavy makeup, and carrying a large Louis Vuitton bag walking toward me holding her phone up as if taking a photo.  Feeling that was odd, I walked off the sidewalk and away from her and in my peripheral vision saw her turn to me and heard the clicking sound of her taking a photo.

At that time, I heard the operator say something in their native language and then she told me ok come in, and gave me the address.

I hung up, turned and saw the Asian woman holding her phone as if she were sending a text message. I quickly jogged up to her calling out "Did you just take my picture?!?!"  She immediate started shaking terribly and said "I was just taking pictures of a lot of things"  I asked if I can see, "because it seemed like you took a picture of me, and I don't want that".  She, with hands shaking, handed me the phone.

Not knowing how to use her Samsung phone, I asked her to show me how to see the photos.  She protested a bit and said I didn't need to see, and I told her if there were no photos of me then please show me how to see the photos so I can verify it, because it seemed like she shot a photo of me.

She told me how to get to the photos and I found two photos of me.  One from a distance and another from closer up.  I deleted them both.

I then had her show me her text messages and found a text message still in the process of being sent with the closer photo attached.  I deleted that as well.  I didn't see any other text messages, but that doesn't mean she didn't send and then delete it.

The woman who took the photos told me the operator told her to come out and take the photos and said she was sorry, blah, blah...

I told her to go back inside and I waited until I saw disappear before walking to my car and leaving by a way that she would not be able to see me leave.

It is very troubling that they would do this. I have no idea what their intention is, but I can't imagine a good reason for them doing this.

I wanted to give a heads up to others so that they are aware of their surroundings.

Needless to say, I won't be going bac

I normally would not have posted but really, an odd and strange story!!! Good idea to get the hell out of there, and old for you confronting her!! Did you ever call the agency back and ask them why that lady was taking photos of you?

The operator called me back and tried to give me a BS story, not knowing what the lady with the phone already told me when I confronted her . I just hung up. As it was a waste if time at that point.
