Are people hobbying now, or waiting until after Christmas?  Is it worth it to travel anywhere now?  Thanks!

As a provider, the holiday season is a time where I see a few less appointment requests. People are traveling a lot, trying to keep up with work, spending time with family and friends at holiday parties and the like. If they have kids, the kids will be home from school and/or trying to get through finals and such.  

Incidentally, I see more requests for couples appointments during this time of year- as a chance for both partners to unwrap a gift that keeps on giving  
My availability is also reduced because of graduate school demands and the cost of incall is a lot more more because hotel room rates shoot up.  

If you want to do some traveling, perhaps use a mailing list of your clients to see who is looking to spend time with you. And do tons of advertising. It may be worth it, may not.

This weekend will be my last hobby session until the New Year. The holiday traffic has become too unbearable. Just shopping for gifts is enough, much less hobbying. Things do loosen up after the 25th, but I'm tapped out until January.
