While trying to figure out who adventurer2011 is and when we had met,

I stumbled upon a post he made in April 2013.

There is this provider who advertises from time to time and the way for her to screen clients is by asking for a scanned picture of the driver's license and a recent picture.
The question is how you done this?
I am ok with showing my ID at the appointment but emailing pictures of it
 Is sort of different.

 Please advise!

 Thanks
I'm curious to know what the reason is behind not wanting to provide such information when a work verification is not an option.
Can someone give me a breakdown from a less naive & trusting point-of-view?

Additionally, if anyone has the chance to privately message me regarding alternate methods... I really would not know how to repay you. :)

But every lady and gentleman should be comfortable asking/giving whatever you require.
There are tons of other ways to screen who aren't as intrusive..

I don't know the guy, but as somebody who takes network security serious, I completely agree with te sentiment. By now everyone should know that everyone and their cousins can peek into your internet connection and whatever you put out on the net, stays there and makes million copies everywhere. It's only your precaution and being "the average" hiding out in millions that makes it not worth the effort for LE/spouse/scammers to dig it up and use it against you. There's no way I'll make it too easy for them to track me down to my RL identity.

If you want to screen, there's many verification services such as datecheck, p411, R2k that "claims" to throw away the info after verification.. Who knows, but if you gotta take a chance, might as well take the ones with lower risk. You could also allow some lesser-cautions providers to TOFTT and provide references.

fake identities,

And they can provide a photo/picture but the info on the license would be invalid.

I rely on that, and then delete the info & pic. If the person at the door is not from the picture, I know whats happening & act accordingly

Use the screening services that are available - P411, Date-Check, etc.

In my 3 years of hobbying, over 3 dozen ladies, only one asked to see my driver's license, which I happily provided. But only as she met me inside her apartment.

Never put personally identifiable information in emails or texts. As above, it will stay on the internet forever.

There is some risk to this business, but screening on both ladies and clients is a must to minimize the risk. It can be done, even for newbies. After all, every one of us clients as well as ladies, started with no OK's or no reviews.
