Hi - depends on type of club. Lots of clubs on K st - overlook, cities, Lima, opera, park to name a few. The rooftop pool at the Donovan is open now. Gtown has modern and L2 and lots of watering holes or dinner spots. Cafe Milano is good for a seen and be seen scene.

Lots of rooftop spots - ozio, overlook, pov at W, Eden, all good
U St is pretty eclectic and fun...black cat has live music, Marvin's has soul food and dancing, lost society has rooftop patio.

Weekends - adult swim at Capitol skyline are good.

I am visiting your lovely city from Chicago for the second time ever!  The first time I was touring and had absolutely no time to enjoy all the hot spots (I had plenty of time to enjoy DC gents' hot spots though tee-hee)!  This time I find myself with some extra leisure time in my schedule. . .

Where and what to do with this extra time on my hands such as where to shop, eat, museums, nice hotels, parks, lounges, clubs, etc.

Please help me and point me in the right direction headed towards a good time!!!

Definitely take advantage of the Smithsonian if you have time. Also the National Gallery of Art (free but not part of the Smithsonian). Air and Space is fun, so is the Museum of the American Indian. The latter also has a very interesting cafe for lunch. The Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum are located in a great neighborhood for dining, combine with lunch at Zaytinya across the street or Rasika for amazing Indian.

If you like rising early, I suggest taking an early morning walk either around the tidal basin (Jefferson, FDR and MLK memorials) or to the Vietnam and Lincoln memorials, then you can walk across the Memorial bridge and get on the metro at Arlington Cemetery.

Every part of DC is unique. What's unique about this website is, when you scroll down, there's a listing of different regions. Click on each region such as Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, K Street, or H street, and it will show you all of the local favorite hot spots such as clubs, restaurants, stores, lounges, hookas, and plenty of other things.

In the main page, Look center, it says DC nightlife and nightclub, click that and it shows you plenty of nightclubs, lounges, musical halls, bars, and plenty of other things. If you click on what's hot in DC night life in the main page, it shows you all of the things that are happening in DC as it relates to date. For example, their most recent date shows a 4th of July event, or National Capital BBQ.

Also, it has best places to be in DC as it relates to days. Click on Best Places to be in DC, and click any day such as Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday, and it will give you some good recommendations. There are some videos and pictures as it pertains to certain night clubs, restaurants, and other places in DC to give you a general understanding of that place.

I use this website a lot, and recommend this website to friends or tourist. As for me, you can catch me in the clubs Monday through Saturday getting my freak on with the ladies. Anyhow, good luck and have fun. There are plenty of things to do.

...if espionage (like spy movies and such) etc is your thing the Spy Museum is a must see....very cool experience.  Avoid the gift shop or you'll never leave lol.

It's 20-something a ticket (dunno exact amount, a date took me). I have to go again.
