Typed url out by hand, the logic behind this app applies to information culled automatically by webhost businesses, please be careful, y'all.
Url includes instructions for android gmail, browser gmail, yahoo, apple, outlook browser, outlook desktop (2007 & 2010v), & iOS.

I love doing this, so please be safe, all.

to the senders email, Even If You Do Not Respond!
This receipt inclides an Ip address, email host info, time stamp, browser info or phone info (excluding number, I think) sometimes... This info can be used to pinpoint users location, and "install" a virus type file that can turn your phone against you. Turn off location data, wipe temporary data & cache, and report spam!

If script kiddies can do it...I'm sure certain LE can as well or will do it even on a casual level. Granted I was called the tin foil man a couple of yrs ago, but I think LE could email providers and use that info for some means.

Good info for security in general! Thanks!

This is called a 'web bug'.  It happens when an image is loaded into your email client from a remote server.   The remote server HAS to know your IP etc in order to send the image.

This is a good reason to set up your email client to NOT automatically load images.
